Btay
Now they are throwing in late challenges trying to be hard men. Pathetic. Walcott needs to come off. Useless right now Bailey
Fosse Captain
Premier league first XI vs Academy side. We should’ve been out of sight by HT
dunlopp9987
Should've taken our chances in the first half, this one would've been done and dusted. The players are to blame on this one

chicagoblue
We’ve had something like 35% possession against an academy side. Unfucking believable.  Abysmal.
chicagoblue
It’s the 80th minute, we’re down 1-0 and we can’t get near them ball until they take a shot, then we complete 0 passes before giving it back!!!
Finn balor
Well someone needs to fucking tell these pricks in the dressing room you’ve just been outplayed by their academy team. Fucking disgusting. We don’t want to know
Fosse Captain
With the recent optimism that Ferguson gave us, with passion and hard work. I see nothing of that now in this second half. Utterly dreadful. Complete humiliation

nogs
I don't think I've ever seen us play as badly as we have in the second half. We've played like a lower league side getting spanked by PL high fliers. Total, total shit.
Bailey
There is such a massive gap between our midfield and forwards it's unreal. We need to push up, and control possession. We can't just keep handing it back to them time and time again. We have DCL and Kean, who aren't anywhere near a partnership, both on the last man, looking behind. Richarlison works up there because he drops off the front and links play. I'd stick Kean right and move Richarlison up top.
London Blue
Morgan and Siggy are the main reason we lost this game, to not be able to boss the midfield battle in a match against kids and reserves is unacceptable. This was an opportunity to Morgan to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and show Carlo why he deserves a place in the team. Instead we got a ghost of a performance from a ghost of a player. I have said it before and I will say it again, he is not fit to wear the shirt. chicagoblue
Our plan to retrieve the ball is to just wait until Liverpool take a shot. Â
Zoo 2.0
When you have a manager with the pedigree of Carlo Ancelotti and are playing against what is essentially a teams academy it's the biggest indicator that winning and Anfield don't mix. This is the best opportunity we've had in 20 years and won't face easier opposition for 20 more. I usually like to see reason but this is without doubt the darkest day I've ever known supporting Everton. An embarrassment beyond comprehension. Not a single shot on target and 95% of passes going to and from Mina, Sidibe and Holgate before being twatted into oblivion by Pickford, only for Adrian to stroll out and begin a counter attack. Our ball retention, game management and quality has been abysmal beyond words and shows that while there are genuinely good players here (Digne, Bernard) they are far outweighed by absolute dross. This is the culmination of years of shocking decisions behind the scenes. Raise a glass to Steve Walsh.
Finn balor
First half was what it should have been without scoring. Second half is a disgrace to all those players wearing a blue shirt

Hafnia
Absolutely disgusting performance. nogs
The big lesson from this is how comfortable and composed their kids are in possession, and how fit they are to press relentlessly. By comparison we are so, so slow and not a single one of our players is good enough to receive the ball under pressure and use it. It will take years to turn this shit around.
chicagoblue
It should have been 3-0 at half and it’s like the players came out for the second thinking that it was 3-0.  has Bernard made a forward pass?  Keeps getting it in the half turn and sending it back to the CBS. Not what we needed him for
Bailey
Just when we need quality and composure we have DCL with a first touch that goes 10 yards away from and Digne with a first touch into touch.

Sibdane
This is probably the worst I've felt after watching an Everton game since I started supporting them. I thought it couldn't get any worse this season. MikeO
