That was terrible.
Beto is rubbish guys, I would rather play Chemiti and let him learn. Or even Dobbin.

I can imagine your wife dreads asking you what you want lunch, knowing that she won’t get a reply in under a thousand words 😃

RIP and a big thank you to Bill for his thoughtful contributions and being a staple of ToffeeTalk. I'm sorry for the loss, though if he is indeed 96 year old Billy Ingham, no doubt a long life fully lived. My condolences, Patto.
As a general note, this is an opportunity to thank all of you for contributing to this community - as someone who came to this forum as a new football fan and new Evertonian, I have learned so much from being a member here and thank all of you for increasing my knowledge, football, Everton, and many things else and I preemptively forgive all of you for the brain damage you've caused me on Brexit and Romelu Lukaku.

Without knowing any poster on TT, I could see from the way longstanding posters interacted with Bill that he was an institution on TT. Even when, maybe especially when, people disagreed with him, their respect for him was obvious.

Story behind that.
He did indeed do a standby forum, and independently I did the same for the same reason. There was a bit of friendly rivalry over who had the most members signed up (I did), but then one day I tried to log onto mine and found the whole thing had disappeared
Got onto servers and had it restored, went into control panel to see if I could work out what had happened, and discovered that Bill had deleted it😂 He'd guessed my password (probably something as imaginative as "joshua") and killed the site!
I gave in at that point and didn't bother to get it going again, and I never told Bill that I'd found out it was him (he was all, "oh no Mike, what's happened?"). Says something about his will to win I guess, bless him.

This is really sad to hear, like many Bill was a massive part of the forum when I joined which was around 15 years ago now. He was one of those few special members that seemed to be part of the fabric of the place, as @c1982 said I remember he had the TT Emergency Board so that we could keep booting off about Everton if this place ever went down - I think that shows the work he put in behind the scenes. The fire that he showed in his posting was no doubt from a deep love of Everton and as others have said, not necessarily a bad thing at all.
Hoping that Bill is at peace, condolences to his family and of course @patto.
