  • Everton have progressed from all three of their FA Cup ties against Luton Town, most recently winning a quarter-final replay in 1985-86.

  • Luton have already beaten Everton at Goodison Park this season, taking home a 2-1 win in the Premier League. The only top-flight side they have beaten twice on the road in the same campaign is Stoke City in 1984-85.

  • Everton have won seven of their past eight FA Cup fourth-round ties, with the exception being a 3-2 loss against Millwall in 2018-19. However, they have not progressed from successive ties against fellow Premier League opponents since 2015-16 (fifth round against Bournemouth and quarter-final against Chelsea).

  • The Hatters have alternated between being eliminated (three times) and progressing (twice) from their past five FA Cup fourth-round ties, going out to Grimsby Town at this stage last season.

            Virginia

Patterson   Branthwaite   Tarkowski   Mykolenko

                Onana   Garner

Harrison          Danjuma         Mcneil

                  DCL

I'd go full strength side and play Danjuma down the middle.

Confident we can beat them, hopefully get an early goal, we always start games with so much energy and pressing but drop off after the first 20, need to make those starts count and get a goal.

Hopefully finally get a DCL goal.

Would like to see Dobbin get a bit of game time as well and would be good to give Beto a reasonable amount of time

2-0

If they are going to throw the game they should tell the fans before the tickets go on sale

I’d think it surely is crucial, given that we’re 17th, owing to the 10-point deduction.  Moreover, our play has been inconsistent, and just now we’re missing Gana, Doucouré, and an in-form Gomes.

Still, our players have had a bit of a break — last match 10 days ago —so I assume Dyche will set out his strongest 11, which might mean Harrison in Doucouré’s spot with McNeil and Danjuma on the wings?

As said by Elston we haven’t had a game for 10 days and have come off poor run leading up to the break. Surely it’s more important for the team to get a game under belt and find some form before the Fulham game, to give ourselves a better opportunity of getting something from the game.
