I hope not. But will support him if it is.

There’s realistically nobody else out there. Although I’d be underwhelmed by it, looking at the bigger picture we need someone to come in who’ll be willing to start something and stay. Big named managers aren’t the answer. They will jump ship as proved by Ancelotti. That type of manager came too early for us. We aren’t at that stage. We need someone to come in and build a good squad get us into Europe then move up the ladder. Out of all the candidates I think Nuno suits us right now.

  2. It was inevitable. Not good enough from the top of the club to the bottom. After the City game I posted on here that this would be the case.

I don’t blame him but he’s had an easy escape from a very very poor job. He did really poorly. However the squad available to him was really really bad and until we all realise this then nobody will want to stay and manage this team of any calibrate.

So is he, "a striker who will feed off good service in the box" or not? If he is then we need to get him the service; but I fully agree Lukaku is/was different gravy

Not falling for your bait sorry Mike. I don’t rate him. I think he’s over hyped. Even by himself. That is all.

Then surely the problem is those providing the service rather than him?

Disagree there as well. Far too many easy chances missed this season. What’s his chance conversion rate against the other top strikers on the league?

He offers absolutely nothing else when we’re trying to break teams down. His movement his absolutely terrible. He doesn’t bring anyone else into the game.

Going back to a top strikers like Kane look at his chance conversion and assists. On another planet to DCL who is completely overrated! He’s not a scratch on Lukaku who took so much criticism in here. How I wish we had him now.

What do you want him to do? Pick the ball up in our own half and dribble past 6 players?

Look at the state of the service today, absolutely fuck all. Probably should have had a goal but despite the distance it wasn't as easy as it looked to score, really no time to react at all.

Cash in on our leading goalscorer so we can have even less quality next year? Madness.

I don’t rate him at all. He’s a striker who will feed off good service in the box. However in this team hes not helping at all. As much of a problem as any other of the poor performers. You can’t polish a turd.

Most of the posters on here were extremely dismissive of lingard.  I never knew much about king but I do think lingard has plenty of talent - the season he had a couple of years back and games against us.

My guess is that lingard will be up and down and need fresh starts.

Lingaard has always had quality. This is a case of falling out of favour with managers and finding one that believes in you. Right now he’s absolutely flying and once again Moyes “gets the best” out of his players.

So basically Gylfi scores around 10% of his free-kicks? Funny how that makes him crap at them when the world's best, Lionel Messi has a conversion rate of 17.8% which is just 7.8% great than Sigurdsson, unless of course you believe that Messi is crap at them too?

"Good on Richarlison for taking the free-kick, he won it after all" . Will do well to hear a shitter statement on this forum in 2021, basically in your opinion if Michael Keane or Mason Holgate go up for a corner, win a free-kick on the edge of the box they should take it ahead of the likes of Gylfi, Digne and James? Course they shouldn't. Stop posting shite.

Yes 7 from 70+ attempts is poor pal very poor and I’m sick of seeing him on the end of our free kicks. His conversion rate is terrible.

What the hell are you going on about with the last paragraph? Sorry no that’s not my opinion at all. That’s something you’ve made up.

Would Roy Keane have put up with that? Absolutely not. As much as I love Seamus he should have been right in the middle of that the second Richarlison grabbed the ball and dragged him away, put him on his arse with a smack around the face if need be I couldn't care less. The disrespect of Richarlison to take the free-kick when we've got Sigurdsson, Digne and James (who are all world-class with a dead ball) is astounding, not to mention that we were 0-0 at the time so badly needed the goal. I could almost understand it if we were cruising but I just don't get the mentality of doing it when we're locked at 0-0 (or even 1-0 up). The players, i.e. - Coleman should have dealt with that themselves rather than bowing down to Richarlison's demands and I fully expect Carlo to address the situation if he hasn't already.

He has disrespected the his team-mates, Carlo and the club. Might sound like I'm going overboard but playing for Everton shouldn't be a jolly where you dick about for 90 minutes, take the odd free-kick here, twat a 40 yard volley for the cameras there. I'd die for the shirt and if I were on the pitch would recognise that there are better players around me to strike a dead ball, individuality is really not what's needed at 0-0 when we're chasing an open door that Chelsea and Spurs left open by dropping points themselves.

It's a bit like the West Brom game, Sigurdsson comes off the bench and tells Digne to get off the corner because he's the designated taker - he whips the ball in and we score. It's all ifs, buts and maybes but who knows whether we would have scored from that? It's why I find it utter laughable how he's managed to get a MOTM vote on the back of that.

Good on Richarlison for taking the free kick! After all he won it. What made it more acceptable was the commentator saying Sigurdsson had only scored 7 out of 70+ direct free kicks. Basically he’s crap at them and him being a set piece specialist is a myth. On what basis is Sigurdsson “world class” In dead ball situations?

Please accept other people’s opinions. I too also think Richarlison had decent game. Yes he missed chances but he was far from the worst performer.

His heading, hold up play, ability to bring balls down under his control, lay off's  and bringing players into the game are very good.

Just going through a rough patch in terms of goals, but that will come good again. Carlo keeps him in the box because thsts where he is most effective. We need his presence there to be the focal point of attacks. Players like James, Richy, and Doucoure feed balls to him, that's their job.

    It’s actually not though!!

  10. He offers absolutely nothing other than the goals he’s scored and those goals are nowhere near as prolific as Lineker so a poor comparison - for now anyway.

I also believe Carlo has told him to goal hang because he knows his game is limited. That’s getting the best out of him. His all around game is poor and whilst he’s not the worst striker we’ve had he’s nowhere near the best or the answer. We need another striker to at least put pressure on his place in the team.
