We came out understandably more cautious in the second half, contained them then suckered them on the break the harder they pushed up it was exactly the right way to play it for me. They never really looked like scoring. If we had come out and played as open and expansive as the first half and they had got one back early and pegged us back everyone would be furious for not defending a 2 goal lead.

I went Kone, solely because after missing that header, he could have hidden from the game. Instead he wanted it and got us back in the game twice. Delighted for him.

He was on half of what the likes of jags was, I think he has earned it. If "what was reported" is true then the club made promises.

Only in terms of bank transactions? Clubs have outspent us for years; Sunderland, Spurs, Stoke, Palace, Wham, Newcastle, etc. and whilst it's been frustrating (and hilarious at times) watching them throw money around, we've been "left behind", if we want to still call it that, in terms of position twice in 13 years for the most part (Spurs being the only exception). So I don't buy that at all. We are froogle with our spending, and thats the way any good business should spend (which is ironic considering the people in charge).

I get the excitement of splashing the cash around, and I get the frustration linked with "bargain bin" shopping. For me, price is the last thing on the list. The important thing is we get the right player. If that takes a bit longer, so be it. Most of our best deals come in that final week of the transfer window, so I'm not going to get wound up now. Come TDD and the window closed and we've not signed the 2-3 player we need, I'll be right alongside y'all complaining, because then I'll have reason. Until then, we're complaining about speculation, which is nuts!

I think Galloway is super composed and so so similar to stones. I like Browning though, seems a good no nonsense defender. Maybe I'll get my back three in the future finally!!!

But when the future could be a team (in 2 years time) with players like Rom, Ross, Gerry, Mccarthy, Besic, Coleman, Stones and Garbs all at a good age and looking to be decent players you need to keep that group together. With the TV money add 2 good additions each year and come that 2 years with the right additions and player potential reached we could be a top top side.
 
Plus on pre season alone you could add Browning who I think will become our new Distin, Galloway, Mcalaney, Dowell and Ledson who if keep progressing will all be around the first team by then.

Have to admit...after watching Kone up close yesterday, I am really worried about our forward situation.

Finally managed to get on the website. It's just the team now, looks like Rooneys the only guest. Was hoping there may of been a few x players turn up but it's not looking that way.

I wasn't wishing injury on him or anything, more that he's not available enough, and not good enough when he is, for it to make any sort of difference.
