Hafnia Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 "Stevie P" for Pienaaar??? - seriously Roberto just stop it with that immediately, the RS will be onto that and do you for copyright infringement, apart from that it looks sad. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 Please don't play Osman instead. Matt 1 Quote
bluenosetoffee Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I would play McGeady on the left and Mirallas on the right and Naismith behind the big man Lukaku. Matt 1 Quote
MC11 Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I wouldn't play a mcgeady at all. But with there being no other legitimate options he'll probably play. Quote
Matt Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 I wouldn't play a mcgeady at all. But with there being no other legitimate options he'll probably play. so then you would play him? Quinn31 1 Quote
London Blue Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) McGeady will come good with a run in the team, he can open up defenses and provides us with an option. A hell of a lot better than Osman on the wing (shudders!) Edited August 26, 2014 by London Blue Quote
Newty82 Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 so then you would play him? Haha!!! It was another classic!!! Quote
markjazzbassist Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 give atsu a start or go 433 with besic. Quote

Romey 1878 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 And still nothing about Barkley... I find it unbelievable that they don't know how long he's out for. Quote

Romey 1878 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I reckon they know the extent of Barkley's injury but are keeping it quiet because its bad news My thoughts exactly! That's why I said it was unbelievable that they don't know yet. Quote
Shukes Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Heard that Rm has turned his ankle and could be out anything between 6 months and 17 minutes. TBC! Though other reports suggest he scored a hat trick in a behind closed doors match last night where he played phenomenally! Steve_E and MikeO 2 Quote
Paddock Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 If that's the case (and I suspect it's true myself) then they should just be honest with the fans and tell us. Regardless of the situation, it's going to come out eventually. If it's a bad one then it's a bad one. Hiding the truth wont change anything. Just announce it and stop keeping us all in the dark. J*A*C*K*E*L*Z Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I have absolutley no idea why but i think its going to be good news about barkley! Im usually really really negitive about this sort of stuff but ive got good vibes for this one! Maybee they think that too but dont want to pit a time scale on it e.g saying that gibson and kone were targeting to play against city at home last year sounds absolutley pathetic now looking back on it. MC11 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Martinez & injuries. No1 will have it. Quote
c1982 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Oviedo and Kone are both starting for u21s today. Quote
MikeO Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Oviedo and Kone are both starting for u21s today. Lost 2-0, but Oviedo played the whole game and Kone played eighty minutes. Quote
Cornish Steve Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Can't wait to see them both back in the first team - especially Kone because he'll really want to prove his doubters wrong. Quote
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 If kone manages to get himself fit and scoring goals and playing well again.... And then trots off to the african cup of nations i think my head may accccctually fall off Quote
gethinO Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Looks like both will be available for selection in 2 weeks. Am I right in saying that Pienaar was back training last week and that Distin and Eto'o were only precaution? That means that it's only Barkley unavailable and he could be back at the start of November. Will be nice to have a fully fit squad as it's something Martinez has never had as of yet. Quote
MikeO Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 If kone manages to get himself fit and scoring goals and playing well again.... And then trots off to the african cup of nations i think my head may accccctually fall off Specially if he picks up an injury there . Quote
Hoof_It_Nev Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Doubt he'll be selected if he hasn't been playing much tbh markjazzbassist 1 Quote
gethinO Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Distin and Eto'o fit for Thursday. Kone and Oviedo nearly fully fit and Hibbert is back for the Carling Cup. That leaves Barkley and Pienaar. Pienaar should be back soon though! Quote
