  1. I've sent you a PM. Check your inbox mate.
  2. Jesus Christ that forum looks shit - I assume the designer is 4 years old?
  3. The French circuit is the most laughable car-park going so I'll shed no tears about it going. This season has been an absolute borefest though, and that's coming from someone that doesn't mind Max at all. It's a complete myth that these regulations have made for more exciting racing, Verstappen could start in P10 and still comfortably finish 1st with the help of DRS and what is a superior car.
  4. The first World Cup I remember was the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan, the tournament is looked back on with something of a black mark due to the obvious corruption that was taking place during the games but as it was my first I look back on it fondly. Beckham's penalty against Argentina, the Republic of Ireland beating Germany and Senegal beating the World Champions France in their first ever World Cup game. Argentina and France themselves bowing out in the group stages despite being favourites, with Brazil lifting the title with goals from Ronaldo. So much nostalgia.
  5. Apart from the point blank save at the end and the distribution that was accurate for the full 90 minutes? Begovic wouldn't be my MOTM, but can see why some would.
  6. What I love about Tarkowski is how much of a shithouse he is too, when it was kicking off after the Gueye incident he was straight in there, then when the West Ham players were giving him loads he just laughed it off. Not afraid to rustle many a feather.
  7. The media loving it too, "Frank Lampard there doing a Jürgen Klopp!". Absolute cringe buckets they are. Those from outside don't understand why we love Lampard so much, those inside need no explanation.
  8. I doubt it would happen, but I'd like to see two up top when DCL is fit. The latter poaching in the box with Maupay doing all the gritty work.
  9. I've said all season that we've defended very well but haven't got anything up front, today was no difference to be honest but fair play to Maupay for taking what was a very good half chance very well. The win is somewhat overshadowed by the behaviour of our fans today though. Their actions during the minute's silence and during the 70th minute was appalling and embarrassing, regardless of how many were at it or if it may be the minority.
  10. They're rumoured to be set to fail FFP, hence why they signed nobody in the summer and are reluctant to sack Rodgers. A few on Twitter are whispering that they've actually got rid of him tonight, but nothing confirmed.
  11. I think the booing was due to the massive chip that Liverpool fans so proudly carry on their shoulder - I'm sure there would be absolute uproar if the same events had took place at a minute's silence for Hillsborough.
  12. Anyone booing the silence on Sunday is a bit of a cunt IMO. You can be pro or against the Royalty without making a scene about someone's passing being observed, it's a basic human right to surely have respect when a life is being remembered and/or celebrated. It's not like we've been planning a silence to show our respect to Hitler, although some on social media would have you believe that way.
  13. Any news on @Romey 1878 getting his account back? Not nice that someone's hacked him and has started posting on his behalf. Pretty sure he's posted in another thread that we should be looking to re-sign Cuco Martina and Ashley Williams too, alongside this out of character sentimentality here.
  14. Went through a lot of dough apparently. Heavy bank balance once he'd finished.
  15. 10 days of mourning I believe so yeah, I guess any games from now until 10 days will be cancelled.
  16. Personally, I feel that it's a disgrace Napoli have been allowed to let their pitch get so dry.
  17. Begovic is someone that I actually rate as a second 'keeper, there's been some absolute clampets in the past but I wouldn't put Asmir in that bracket. Still, a massive miss for us - Pickford has been one of our best players this season. I think anyone would miss someone like him inbetween the sticks given the form that he's been in.
  18. I can't say I'm surprised tbh, the new owner has already got rid of Petr Cech and that woman who was running the show (always forget her name). I think that the writing was on the wall for Tuchel months ago really. It's a laughable decision though, won them a Champions League and took them far in domestic competitions. The wheels have fallen off this season, but we're only a handful of games in so there's plenty of time to turn things around. The fact that he was allowed to get to the end of the transfer window, spend upwards of £200m, bring in Aubamayang who he's best mates with to then get sacked six days later is fucking madness. I really like the Tuchel too, comes across as someone who really knows his football and someone who would do well pretty much anywhere. He'll no doubt get another job elsewhere in six months time and do well with them, which ironically is probably when Chelsea will be gearing up to sack Potter, Pochettino or who else will be stupid enough to go there. Gerrard is living off his reputation at the moment IMO, the draw against Manchester City will have helped him too but the fans have really turned on him. They play awful football and so far this season, Gerrard's not managed to get a tune out of his starting XI's. Tyrone Mings is an absolutely gash footballer, but the way in which he demoted him seemed a little bit off and that fallout is going to ripple through the team. I get the impression that Gerrard is someone who will be like marmite on the training ground, you're either one of his mates or you absolutely despise him. Rumour has it that his compensation would be upwards of £1m. I know that that's pennies to Premier League clubs, but with the rumoured FFP situation that Leicester are in I do think that they're somehow holding out for him walking - which is never going to happen. Rodgers is absolutely disinterested with Leicester though, I know a few Leicester fans and they (like Villa) have completely turned on their manager. It's got a bit toxic down there to be honest.
  19. Christian Eriksen has always been an outstanding player, he would have been an unbelievable coup had we signed him. No surprise that United suddenly look lethal going forward now that he's started to find his feet with them, a truly magical player.
  20. Apparently his agent said that he had a nice club lined up, and here we are.
  21. I'm repeating myself again here but the introduction of VAR has just proved how corrupt the English game is. It was always up for interpretation when it was just the referee, however now it's in black and white the amount of favouritism and bias behind decisions. It's actually killed a lot of my love for football, as it feels as though there's Everton against a multi-billion corporation as opposed to 11 players.
