You are going around the houses again Haf.
The point is, you have no idea whether or not Seamus is a good leader. I can find you the same type of articles you can find me about his leadership. Here is one:
    https://punditarena.com/football/jeff-simon/seamus-coleman-abdoulaye-doucoure-everton/
Does that mean I know Seamus is a good leader... Of course it doesn't but you seem to treat this stuff like its gospel.
Of course capitulations can happen with even the best players on the pitch. Its football. Here is an example:
    https://www.11v11.com/matches/tottenham-hotspur-v-manchester-united-01-january-1996-22383/
How on earth could a very average Spurs score 4 goals in 30 minutes with the mighty leader of Keane on the pitch? I don't even have to mention the number of times he got himself sent off and put his teammates in the shit, or when he threw them under the bus, but I guess that is all fine.
My point is, what happened on Saturday isn't to do with leaders, it is to do with the players not doing the job that is asked of them. The finger needs to be pointed at those players and not Coleman and Keane IMO.

Yes, he won more aerial balls than any other player with 8. The next best was Digne on 5.
Godrey in contrast won two, of which one of them was given as a foul against him.

I am loving seeing construction on the new stadium - especially when all week we have been seeing the takeover talk at Newcastle and the talk of the financial backing they will have. I think Everton more than any club at the moment are in a position to see that these days just having a wealthy owner arrive is not a panacea for instant success on the football pitch.
There have been plenty of mistakes over the past 5 years since Moshiri has been the owner. However, I think they are getting the single most important thing right - and that is the new stadium we are getting.
I went to Liverpool last week to see a concert at the M&S Bank Arena (for the first time in years) and it reminded me of how beautiful a city Liverpool is - particular around the dock area where the Arena sits. I got really excited at the thought than in a few years time there will be a similar development in Bramley Moore Dock with our new home as the centre piece. I can really see our stadium being the venue for the biggest stars to come and put on their stadium concerts. Having soaked up the atmosphere in the city last week I am pretty confident this is going to be a massive asset for us (and Liverpool in general) in the the longer run.
I have been to Ethiad Stadium a few times to watch a concert and it been park up, get in the stadium and then drive off, I think our stadium and the surrounding development is going to be some much better than this.
This stadium could be with us for a 100years, we can change managers, players and DoF's etc in a relatively short period, but the stadium is going to be here a long time.
It just brilliant seeing the physical work going on now, after what seems a life time of talking about it. think it might turn out to have been worth the wait.

I'm mostly pleased with what we showed in that half. United started better and we had to just stay in it, but we grew into the game well and caused them problems.
Now we need to stop them getting in again and hope we can take a chance at the other end.

Got back from the game at 2.40am but it was worth the journey! Suffered all week mind with no voice and feeling knackered. After a dull first half it was a crazy 10 mins and throughly enjoyed.

Cheers. Doesn't surprise me that it's not been well advertised after the shit show that was the season tickets!

So is letting our only real LB cover go without bringing one in.
We're a couple of injuries away from disaster this season.

And we got it right in that we didn’t give him a long contract. The whole fan base would have moaned like hell if we only gave him a 1 year.

I can’t see any other club wanting him. That’s probably why Rafa has now come out with this.

Now they tell me. If I'd have known my immune system was going to take care of it I wouldn't have bothered with those pesky cancer treatments
