    Cheers Mike, yeah I've lived a very independant lifestyle for the past 17 years, me and my wife have had 9 years together (1 married) and this is full on grown up stuff!!!

    I really don't know how she's gonna cope with 2 babies (me being the other). Must admit can't wait to take in first game with baby, think I will be highly emotional.

    When Martinez was with Swansea his philosophy was when we have the ball they can't score. I thought he had a good defensive record there, he had a good players for that standard. As you get up the divisions you need to adapt the qualities you have. The more tools you have in your tool box, the more options you have to get the job done. I was shit scared when he came to us because I envisaged us winning/losing 4-3 etc... I will try to do a Hafnia-ism (sorry Haf!) Moyes bought himself a kit car but most of the parts were missing though. He put part after part in with great diligence, always being careful not to over spend on extra parts he needed to buy in. When the time came to race it at the race track, he was cautious, never willing to go toe to toe, always willing to coat tail the leaders as he did not want to crash his car, he just was not willing to risk it, just stay in contention and hope one of the leaders come off. A "works team'' sees how well Moyes handles his car, treating it with respect and never try to crash it. Martinez takes over Moyes old car, looks under the bonnet and says "ooooh'' bet this will go like a rocket if I only just adjust this and twiddle with that, while I'm at it why not change that as well. When Martinez gets on the track he just goes for it, always believing in him self, gliding the car around corners and winning the toe to toe with the top boys, classy driving from someone who used to drive a Talbot Sunbeam, who is now in this purring speedster who will end up driving for the best formula 1 team.There,it's the best I could come up with and I hope Haf will approve!!!!

    Welbeck and Agbonlahor need a good slap. No way they'd square up to anyone if the ref wasn't there to stop them getting slapped.

    Wenger on City...

    "They are one of the teams with a chance, of course, but I would not say they are the best team we have played so far this season. Everton were as good as Man City, and so were Southampton."

    @Patto
    Heitinga is our best suited defender to counteract Berba's technique. Plus 3 at the back with him would help us keep the ball even more, which I think we should do in the 1st half to knock the wind out of Fulham's sails.

    @Brett
    After the results we had against the big boys there is a little danger the players may become over confident and get caught out. So Naismith for his hard work, save the flair for the second half. Plus the xmas period is busy, best time to utilise the squad.

    as much as I love Baines, I hope he doesnt just waltz into the team when hes fit. I think Oviedo has done enough so far to make Martinez think...

    “The tactical side of it has happened naturally under the gaffer. It’s never been complicated.
    “We haven’t stood there scratching our heads because we’re all good players. We know what he wants.”

    One thing I like about Lukaku is if he's not on the ball then he's making runs into space, and before every cross he's in the box calling for it. He wants the ball, and I love that.

    Spot on.

    I dont think people realise how hard he works without the ball either. He is always making runs, always creating space for others. The likes of Barkley and Pienaar wouldnt be able to get into those little pockets of space if it wasnt for him dragging the CB's all over the place, sometimes literally!

    Not convinced they are though Bailey. Theyve played mediocre teams, only really had 2 games from better teams (Us, Arsenal as examples) and drawn or lost them. They got lucky in the Derby too...

    This is the difference - theyre outscoring the opposition but only when the opposition is a poorer club (Fulham, Norwich, Wham are the latest examples - no disrespect to either club). If they play a club bigger or around their level, like Newcastle, Southampton and Swansea, they struggle

    I'll take some credit seeing as my in-laws and any other relatives / friends over in the US usually get an Everton shirt Im responsible for at least 7 Evertonians in Phoenix AZ, though not sure they follow the club (or wear the shirts for that matter ) but im trying!

    I've called for him to be replaced in the past but there's no doubt that having proper competition has made him up his game massively. He's been outstanding this season and given us a platform to win games.

    Long may it continue.
