Vics 1st interview for WBA, he just loves Everton ........

EFC-Paul reacted to Memmaclub in Martinez won't last the season
So that for me is a disgusting transfer window. Martinez said the squad would be stronger. It's not. What amazes me is the positivity of people when the club continues to strip valuable players away to replace them with polished turds. Everyone is going to be happy with McCarthy and lukaku. But they are direct replacements and the latter is on loan. So 33.5 mil in. Even including the early business we are 12 mil in profit.
Martinez is a joke - we are shopping in a world market. It's true but they have to have played for Wigan first. We have now got the spine of a relegated team in our squad great!!!!
Was buying Kone for 6 mil to sell vic for six good busineess no way he is 5 years older.

Oh no!!! My credibility on an anonymous forum maybe under threat. Well fuck it why not just post some boring old shit about how well we did in the transfer window although I don't believe it. I don't give a flying fuck on people's opinion of me I have my views I share them if you don't agree happy to debate it. Throw a few personal insults in if you feel the need I love all feedback.

And for the record I don't think losing felli is RMs fault it is just a negative of the current start. The club lie they specifically stated the McCarthy deal wasn't dependant on felli leaving where is Dave Whelan says differently. If the deals were not dependant why the fuck did we wait until the last minute.

if felli was the major talisman you say why wasn't anyone else in for him?
you talk shite mate

EFC-Paul reacted to Hafnia in Martinez won't last the season
I don't take your posts seriously - no offence intended but you talk absolute nonsense. I wondered where that post came from and then seen it was you who started this "Martinez won't last the season" thread.
I'm guessing you are a young kid, so I'm not gonna be too harsh and maybe give you a little bit of structured debate.
We have lost:
Fellaini, Neville, Hitzlesburger, Anichebe - shaving the best part of £300k a week off our wage bill with only one player who is a regular starter. Of that we generated £32-£33m in transfer money.
We gained:
Mccarthy (better than felli on the deck and more suited to RM style)
Barry - an experienced solid DM - only 32 on a year loan
Robles - potentially great keeper
Alcaraz - an international quality ball playing cantre half - free
Kone - a striker who works defenders, scores goals, better than Jelavic and Anichebe
Lukaku - a potentially world class Drgba esque striker
Deulofeu - Barca next big thing
I think you are trying to justify your frankly garbage statement before martinez was even able to apply his methods. A little bit sad, you seem to be want to be proven right. Fortunately most agree, you are talking nonsense.

Sorry Memma but you talk complete and utter bollocks

EFC-Paul got a reaction from Quinn31 in Marouane Fellaini
I'd rather he was sold now as said the chances are He will not be the same player if the rumours of transfer requests and pushing for a move are true.
Pulis get fucked and take your tractor for a spin you pretentious knobhead......
Hate the deadline day at times!

EFC-Paul got a reaction from Matt in Upcoming crest announcement (2014/15 onwards)
I'd say good effort Pete but I'd be lying it reminds Me of a baddie from an old amstrad/atari game.....sorry mate
Av I like the two designs on the shirts more so the second if it was smaller and had less to it ie n banner. I prefer simplistic designs Myself I'd be happy with just the tower and our motto underneath tbh.

EFC-Paul got a reaction from SimonButtle in Landon Donovan
Sell a young player who has the potential to become a great player for an older one who was uninspiring in his last stint........bonkers
I rated Donovan in his first spell and would have loved to have signed him then but not now, He's over rated and hyped by his fellow countrymen far to often.

have Coleman and Baines as wingbacks, allows the front 3 to have the freedom to play through the centre or wings

EFC-Paul reacted to Romey 1878 in Conor Grant
If this was Moyes I'd have no hope of him seeing first-team action this season despite featuring during pre-season.
It's one of those things that I just didn't get about Moyes during pre-season. He'd play certain players regularly, and in certain positions, and then those players either wouldn't feature hardly at all during the season (despite playing well in pre-season) or in different positions.

EFC-Paul got a reaction from pete0 in James McCarthy
Just reading the thoughts on other's regarding Osman and playing him in that role and Bilyaletdinov's name popped into My head straigt away I'd have loved to have seen Him here under Martinez and in the kind of system he plays I personally think he'd have flourished.
Anyway random thoughts aside I'd love to have McCarthy here but only for the right money £10/12m but does have the potential to become a more valuable player.

How the heck does anyone (let alone us) let a player of his age, quality and reputation go for 1.5 mil?
-
EFC-Paul got a reaction from Sibdane in Oviedo interview
I've thought the very same thing in all honesty Steve.
He seem's to have all the right qualities to very well in that position and although we've not seen a great deal of him i still think he's to good player to be sat on his arse each week.

EFC-Paul reacted to RuffRob in Arouna Kone
People are making a little to much of his age, 29 isn't actually over the hill for a footballer (somebody also mention being in his prime) - OK, most likley this will be his last major contract an no sell on fee - but you'd have to expect 4-5 years out of him before he retaires at the grand old age of 33-34. That gives Martinez 8-10 transfer windows to work on bringing in younger players.
So a bit of a reality check that he doesn't need to only buy players under the age of 25 in his very first transfer window. He should bring in a couple of player he is happy and familiar with, with out breaking the bank. He already has a full squad of what will be totally new unfamiliar player to him, that he has never worked with. So a couple of familar faces in the squad who he knows what he will get out of them is a smartish move in my opinion. To me this isn't the window for Martinez to go for higher risk expensive youngster in until he has 6 months with the current squad and youth acadamy.
Don't forget, today or tomorrow is going to be the first time Martinez properly meets the Everton playing squad. It is going to take at least the pre-season for Martinez to see which peg is goiing to best fit which hole of his playing system. Bring a couple of players you know well in and spend a reasonable time assessing the squad with a few pre-season friendlies has to be the best transfer option.
I know its more exciting to see new hot prospect coming in, and we all want that - but this window just isn't the right time. There is a annual convayor belt of the next hot property, I am sure we will see it come over the next two or three years and ideally, through our own acadamy.

EFC-Paul got a reaction from Sibdane in Arouna Kone
I know what Your saying Steve and fully agree about players ages but the way people are talking is like if we sign Kone on a two or three year deal we won't sign anyone else this season or for the next few and our young up and coming players suddenly vanish into thin air and we have no options but to carry on with an ageing squad!
Some are being so one dimensional in their approach to things so far it's unbelievable at times and we haven't even kicked a ball yet.
I'd much prefer us to be able snap young promising talent up but financially we are poor in comparison to most in the league that people keep banging on about trying to bring players in.
For all we know we might not even sign him and if we did who is to say we are not going to bring in two or more players? it's all unknown as it stands and I'm not going to start worrying until the transfer window shuts and I know where we stand.

It was probably a cheeky comment with a wink in his eye. Lost in translation in print.
Im sure he hopes that Baines will stick around.
