what every manager loves is consistency - and Richarlison consistently puts in a quality shift for the team - both offensively and defensively. Some games will always be better than others depending on who we play and how we set up. He definitely misses having a attacking full back on the left, so we have automatically been a little toothless as an attacking force this past few games. I would say in most game he is probable most peoples top 3 or 4 performers week in week out.

Keane has been one our most consistent player this season, so he is not going to be easy for either Holgate or Godfey this season to oust him, he is only 28 in January, so easily 4-5 years at his peak. James like assist earlier this season, regular gets a goal, nice shot at the weekend - I would like to see Keane break in to midfield a little more often.
Assuming Keane will be keeping his spot and Mina may be drop - who gets the call to play alongside Keane? Holgate or Godfrey?
Great future for us at CB whichever way you look at it.

I agree, I think Bernard is all but gone, will be very surprise if he is still here at the end of January.
I always felt for Iwobi last season - he came last minute in the transfer window and dumped straight in to a weak and struggling team, with Silva then gone two months later. then he was injured and then the stop start of lockdown etc. Not ideal conditions for any new arrival to join a club.
It is surprising how involved he has been in a lot of the goals we have scored this season.
I would just like to see him as a little more of a goal threat - Given his position, he should really be aiming for double figures as a season goal tally.

Really good post game interview from him, such a humble, respectful guy who is always working on his weaker areas.
Always thought myself his dribbling, passing and long shots are those weaker points. Showed he has it in his locker against arsenal. Never seen him crack a ball like that on his left, thread a pass to Richarlison or that good dribble. Scary how good he could be in 18 months.

I think a lot of his hard work is being overlooked because we have taken it for granted, and others who play better than usual but no better than him standout and get the votes.
I wouldn’t want to lose him for another period of games the last one proved how much we need him.

I wouldn't mind seeing Coleman start if properly fit - he's not missed that long a period. I really don't think we should play without any attacking back unless its really necessary.  We have played two games on the bounce now with four centre backs playing, teams will work out the best way to exploit it. Play a right back at right back, especially one so good at getting forward. If Coleman is ready - I am for him start.
I think getting at Arsenal from the off is the best way to go in this game. They will be nervous, so at home, lets have a bit of a go at them. I don't think sitting back against Arsenal and letting them find any rhythm or getting confident on the ball would be such a great idea. Sitting back worked against Chelsea and Leicester, but there where teams coming in to the game on good form.

We can't complain about the volume of work our players are doing. Number of game wise as we are in a much better position than Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal, Man U, and Man City. Last nights game was our first midweek game in months - we have only been playing once a week. The teams listed have been playing twice a week, every week for months - including away travel to Europe.
All our player are going in to Xmas period far more fresher than the opposition teams we we are playing. If anything, work load wise we are at an advantage.

Doucoure. Took over in that second half after playing second fiddle to Allan.
Allan was great again while on.
Iwobi is slowly getting to be a real danger.
And a special mention for Gomes for coming on and making a solid impression.

I think it just players are now beginning to get to know each other on the pitch. There will still be bumps in the road, but we are starting to see a really good foundation in the middle of the field being in built.

Totally agree, I am big fan of rewarding players who put in a stellar performance and come away with all three points, and with a clean sheet to boot. None of the players let themselves or the shirt down on Saturday. So they all did enough last Saturday to deserve a start against Leicester City. This is our first mid week game for some time, so no need to be thinking about rotation or any sort of resting of players just yet.
If a player sees that he regains his starting place after both a good personal and team performance - there should be no bigger motivation than this for rolling your sleeves up in each and every game.
It will not do James (or any other player) any harm to know they are not an automatic pick for each and every game. Also, he is a great player to bring off the bench to change a game. Teams can't also set out to target out right wing as vulnerable defensively if James isn't starting a game. So I think coming on for the last 30min means it's much more difficult for the opposition to try and then take advantage of any weakness we might have with his introduction. It is also good if the oppositions game plan is to take advantage of the right only to find he isn't starting .
In our losing streak there has definitely been an element of the opposition taking advantage of what we lose defensively when James starts. So some time is going to be needed ironing this problem out, especially against the better teams like we have coming up.

Dom has been immense over the past 12 months, but rose tinted glasses off, we need to see become the norm over a couple of seasons before talking about him in the same breath of Harry Kane. Kane's goal per game ratio has continually been off the scale since he broke on to the scene and his assists stats is mighty impressive as well. Top top player, this will be his 7th season in a row battling at the top of the premier leagues goal charts (and still only 27 this season). I am amazed that he hasn't been plucked from Spur's by the best and riches clubs in the world - so a bit of kudos to both Kane and Spurs for staying together. Truly a player you can build a team around.
I would love us to continually have  that sort of relationship with Dom.

I think this run of 'tough'  games will do us the world of good now. Solid defending as a 'team', hitting teams on the break. We are going to get plenty of practice at playing like we did this weekend against Chelsea. We could come out of Xmas period with a very solid and well drilled defensive base. 0-0's and the odd 1 -0 will do me fine over the next 4 - 5 games.
I hope ALL the player now know what sort of performance is now expected if you want to be in the starting 11!!!
