Just did the questionnaire myself... why the heck did they not do this BEFORE?!

New user from Melbourne here too! Been supporting the team for about 10 years but only watching on a regular basis for the last 3. I've visited quite a few Everton forums and found a few of them to be vulgar and unpleasant but this one seems to be great so I decided to join up. Looking forward to joining in the discussions.

In bullet points (as I've got a headache);
 
- We're un-defeated.
- We've been playing great football we just need to be more clinical.
- We have a new manager, if anyone thought we would be beating teams 8-0 then they were deluded. It's going to take time.
 
I'm happy with Martinez. It's not as if we have started the season and been bounced each week. We've been the better team in both games we just need to stand up and be counted.

Howard: Didn't have much to do. Wasn't called upon for any magnificent saves.
 
Baines: Didn't have his best game crossing. Defended well, and got forward enough - but we've seen better from him.
 
Coleman: Did very well down his flank. I would have like to have seen him take on his man a bit more, but he worked his side well, and good follow-up to get the goal.
 
Jags & Distin: Great pair who worked well together - Distin saved Jags ass more often than not. Here's to Distin's continued speed and strength throughout the season.
 
Pienaar & Mirallas: Wasn't the best of games from the two, but they did well enough. A few wayward passes from Pienaar - and Mirallas had a couple of bites that on another day would have got him a goal.
 
Osman: Worst player on the pitch for us. He's not suited to the defensive midfield role. Gave away too many passes today and was bossed around more often than not.
 
Fellaini: Covered Osman for the game which is why he seemed to have a quiet one. I think he worked hard enough - got slightly frustrated near the end, but had an overall good team performance.
 
Barkley: Had a cracker MOM performance. Great goal, but he has good presence up front. One to watch for in the future for sure!
 
Jelavic: Is it just me? I thought Jelly didn't do too badly up front. Unlucky not to score, but he got into positions, drew the defenders, brought others into play. Good team effort.
 
Naismith: Ran hard up and down the field, but didn't influence as much. Just a straight swap for Mirallas when he came on and did much of the same, 'cept he hads a bit more defending ability.
 
Kone: Not much of a difference I felt from when he took over from Jelavic.
 
Anichebe: Didn't get a touch I don't think... and still he managed to complain.

I reckon Rodwell would have done better for us than Osman did today.

Yeah... after seeing Ossie today Barry would have done better for us in that position. But surely there are other younger options we can look for to fill that role?!

We miss Gibson in that position don't we... I think Ossie plays better a bit further up. He's not got the strength for the defensive mid role.

Gibson is going to miss large chunks of the season through injury I think, and as much as I don't like to admit it, Ossie is struggling. So who else would play the holding role with Felli? Felli might be more of a box to box midfielder if Barry is sitting in front of the back 4 to, which would help the passing and flow of the game
