I’ve been critical of him, thought he was shite to be honest, but it seems like we have a manager who can improve players. Always liked how Myko carried himself and his work ethic, never in doubt, but to add so much quality in what seems a very short space of time is fantastic. Has to play every game now. 
 
The left hand side with Myko, Branthwaite and McNeil is very very solid and showing a bit of creativity too. 

I fucking love this club and I love this team. And a team is exactly what it is. Every player that goes out there plays for each other, that is obvious. Any time there's a scuffle they're all in there. Any time a player makes a mistake there's someone there trying to stop it from costing us. I am proud to watch this team and I am proud to support them from the stands. The football is easy to get behind as well - it might not always be pretty but it's always committed and committed football is something that gets you going. We've been roaring from the stands for a reason.
I've just looked at the stats for this game and it's another one where we've had less than 30% possession, but it's another game where that stat surprises me because it didn't feel that way whatsoever. It was a little more uncomfortable than on Thursday but I didn't find myself too worried or shitting my pants. We did look a little tired but we were so organised and solid that I felt there was no way weren't at least getting a point from the game. Then it was just about if we could find the legs to get up the pitch and make a chance count. We did that. Twice.

Smashed another in. One thing he is consistent with is hitting the ball. Wish more of our players were confident enough to smash the ball.

First half we were fucking brilliant. At one point it flashed up on the screen that we'd had 37% possession and I was actually surprised because it hadn't felt that way at all due to us being the side that looked dangerous, and like the side that would score (and score a few at that). I admit, though, that come half time when we hadn't made our chances count I was worried that it would be like many other home games this season where we are the better side but then go on to lose the game.
That worry only increased in the second half as we weren't as threatening at all and with 20 minutes to go Newcastle were starting to really control things and look like it would be them to take the lead. If they had then I didn't think we'd have it in us to come back to get anything from the game. But then we found our clinical edge and went bang, bang, bang with the chances that fell our way.
I'm so proud of the team tonight - to a man, they all performed. They all gave everything. And all the fans in the ground gave them everything in return. I'm hoarse from urging them on and then singing my heart out to show my appreciation for their efforts.
Take 30 points off us if you like, we're going fucking nowhere.

I love how physical we've been, some proper nasty challenges going in tonight. Hopefully the lovely little Everton is a thing of old, I'm really enjoying us kicking lumps out of the other eleven.

Obviously I may be biased, but I like the concept of VAR. Replay officiating works pretty well in leagues like the NFL; the PL is way beyond incompetent with the way they execute it though. It really shouldn't be as hard as they make it. I feel like a lot of the calls are made in a corrupt nature. I also think if VAR didn't exist that it would still be just as corrupt however, if not more. I don't trust the refs in the PL at all. It's honestly shocking how bad or obvious the calls are sometimes. I will say that I don't think VAR's failure is the result of the concept itself but more so the terrible execution of the use of the technology. Like I said, it shouldn't be that hard.

Young playing has dampened my spirits far more than DCL being out.

Hi I'm luke from the East Midlands.  I'm new on here but been supporting the toffees since the day I came out of my mother. I would love to be able to get to games but with my busy working schedule I find it hard to do this. So hopefully my luck will change. 

Without having Baines we would probably say Digne was a very good LB. Absolute wand of a left foot by lacked the pace to deal with wingers in this league.
Baines though was pure class as a footballer on the pitch and professional off it.

Theres no guarantee Coleman will come back and be able to perform. The man is incredible in how many times he been written off but still delivered.
No doubt he should be ahead of Young but it would break my heart watching Coleman get torn to shreds each week like Young is.

Wyness talks a lot of sense especially with the wages cap, of course this would have to implemented by all governing bodies within football. It would be harder to flout the rules if implemented because no matter how many bogus deals you make to improve your income and spending, your spending on wages will be capped as a team. I think we all agree money and greed is ruining the game and the top clubs will always remain the top clubs due to their spending power, if we want a system that works this has to be the way forward if we ever want to seriously eradicate the false accounting of the big clubs and create a system that will be more of an even playing field than the one we have now then a spending cap has to be the way forward. 

I thought he was decent rather than average, did an OK job, but nowhere near Bainesy levels I agree.

They are trying everything other than addressing the actual problem which is utter incompetence at referee level.
It's absolutely infuriating how in theory, VAR should be an excellent addition to the game.
