Avinalaff got a reaction from chicagoblue in Arouna Kone
I posted a comparison on my site some time ago that had some interesting facts about him in comparison with what we have.

It's here if you want to read it (if you don't want to, don't.)

I think he will prove to be a decent player if he stays fit.

Have you noticed Martinez has the same shirt on in his interviews?

It's fair to say that the interview had been segmented, and the club knew they had their man.

Why is it though, that they can't let the fans know, rather than us find out via leaked sources? It would be great to log on to the official site and see something for the first time that was exciting.

We are a striker up on last year, and nobody has said "That's your lot".

What an opportunity to be positive if ever there was one. We were all very impressed with him when he was at Wigan. I think we owe it to Martinez to let him make these decisions and back him. Positive fans = positive players.

Naisy is still unknown to us regarding his ability in his natural position. We don't have a very big squad, so it's unlikely anybody will be sold until he figures out what he needs for the season. He's only been in the job 2 minutes, so we need to give him time to equate.

What a childish bunch of absolute tossers some of you folks on here can be sometimes.
"It wasn't me ...it was him!" etc etc.
What does it matter whether someone wants to read a forum post or not? Why the fcuk should it bother you anyway?
If you don't want to read it.....don't! Simple really.
I havn't been a Moyes fan for a number of years and don't care how he gets on at Manure except that I'd really like to see him fcuk up bigtime.(So I wanted to read these posts)
Nothing personal you understand but a Utd side in disarray or playing less than best can only be a bonus for Everton FC as it could take prospective opposition out of the picture for CL places......and for no other reason.
So please, you self-righteous gits get off peoples backs who just want to read posts and enjoy the forum.
Some of you on here just seem to be getting off on slagging off anyone who disagrees with your point of view.
    FFS....grow up!

Arsene Wenger Arsehole Wanker wouldn't offer us 'anything' unless it was a great deal for him, so the answer is a big no.

Avinalaff reacted to RuffRob in Martinez won't last the season
Gone by Xmas or the end of the season what an absolute joke - we are not Chelsea, Spurs, Man City or QPR, and we have not signed Harry Rednapp, Mark Hughes or Di Canio as the manager. Martinez is not going to rip apart what Moyes has already steadily built, and go wild in the transfer market. Martinez spoke with respect of where the club are and how he want to steadily improve.

Although Moyes and Martinez are different in many way regarding there approaches to the game - They have few things in common they are both real grafters and student of the game. They are both really honest and straight talking fella's with strong principles and act with integrity, I think Martinez will build the same type of open and close relationship with the Chairman as Moyes did. I don't see any sort of love hate relationship going on.

I am nervously excited about the next regime at Everton - From what I have heard from Martinez so far I really think we have the best man for this particular job (I was in the Pereira camp originally) . Will we kick on?, I don't know, its a very tough ask to consistently rub shoulder with any of the Man U, City, Spur, Chelsea, Arsenal and even Liverpool, they all have vastly superior resources year after year and this is not going to change any time soon.

The Everton job is actually a difficult job for any manager in world football - you have very little scope to screw up in the transfer market, you can't buy yourself out of trouble or amass a large squad to cover transfer dealing deficiencies, and us fans expect year on year progress.

We need a few strong midfielders, not just one.

I would be happy with Macarthy, Fer, and Honda but it won't happen.

Defence wise we can get lots of defenders on the cheap, but they need to be decent. I don't see Alcaraz displacing any of our defenders from the first 11, unless Martinez is crazy, as we have some of the best defenders in the league, so if he is just going to sit and be a squad player, why not get a younger player and let him learn his trade while he waits.

I have a feeling that our budget was based on either Fellaini or Baines leaving, and I have a sneaky feeling both are staying, so I'm not expecting much from this window.

Keeper wise, Ross Turnbull is free unless anybody else gets him, or Joel perhaps.

Striker wise, Mirallas could be our golden egg.

I didn't get the fact that Moyes spent money on him and left him on the bench, while Baines got no rest.

I think he is very exciting once on, and would like to see more of him.
