Aidan got a reaction from AlbanyNYToffee in Vs Brentford (home)
Honestly managers get fined for talking against these ridiculous decisions by the referees. When are the referees going to be held accountable for the inconsistencies week in week out? We've seen instances this season where vars have 'forgotten' to draw lines on a fucking offside image. Decisions like this can be absolutely catastrophic for teams in our position.
Is it a hand ball? I don't know - nobody knows apart from Gray. That's not the point. The VAR has GUESSED that it's handball. If you're reduced to guessing it means that the referee hasn't made a clear and obvious mistake, that's the rule isn't it? It has to be clear and obvious?
How long have we been doing this dance? And still fuck all has been done about it. It's absolutely ruining the game.

I hope Dyche goes to town on the VAR for that decision.

It's hard to take positives when realistically this is a game we need to win.
We're going to have to go on a hell of a run at goodison if we are to stay up. Edging closer and closer every week to the championship with very little inclination that this squad are currently mentally strong enough to avoid the drop.

Not impressed with the lack of discipline in the team this half. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us. Great game for the neutral

I think this I think he is a yard slower and over confident because of the team he came from. I don't see him as a safe water carrier type I see him as a brain fart waiting to happen. All the hardworking undone by a useless needless piece of play by a twat who knows better. This issn't even football ability this is shocking decision making

How many times this season has he put under pressure like that? We can't afford to have that in the team right now. Really needs benching because he's cost us several goals this season.

So fucking frustrating watching us fluff 3 or 4 chances and then concede a goal.
No chance we score two now.

Just on a sidenote some of the teams around us have difficult fixtures coming up in the next 4 games.
Palace - Liverpool & City
Forrest - Everton, Tottenham, Newcastle
Leicester - United, Arsenal, Chelsea
Wolves - Fulham, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle
Bournemouth - City, Arsenal, Liverpool
I think we could see Bournemouth and/or Wolves plummet to the bottom 3 after these games.

I expected us to play a lot of long balls and be resolute in defence, which we have been. We have however played some okay stuff along the ground, often out of defensive areas, more than I thought. Once the players get more confident, I think we will see more of this, but always with one eye on the long ball.
I think with Dom scores a goal yesterday if he's in the team. A lot of good balls in dangerous areas which Maupay and co didn't fancy attacking. Dom does make those runs on the 6 yard box and we've seen him nearly score a couple like that already under Dyche.
6 points out of 9 with 3 very difficult fixtures. I think everybody would have taken that prior to the games. Villa at home next week, who have lost their last 3 and will be feeling a bit of pressure. I think we can get 3 points out of that game. If we do it puts us in very good position prior to going to the Emirates, and then two winnable games after that against Forrest and Brentford. In a ideal world, if we get at least 7 points out of those 4 games, the table looks a whole lot different.

Not the prettiest game, a very nervy match, managed it really well though. Not sure if they even had a shot on target.
Huge win considering where we both sit in the table.
