Not surprising given that the money they've spent (and now losing five in a row) has cost Dean Smith his job. I just don't think that the Villa job is "elite" enough to get a high calibre manager in, I think whoever they take will be a bit of a risk to be honest. What's interesting is I think Villa could be a top job. Club with plenty of history, they've got good players. They showed last season they're capable of potentially being a top 6 side.
