Unless I missed it, why would the new investors put Bell or Downing into positions on the board?

Once the charge is repaid, they will have no interest in the club and there doesnt appear to be a link with the new investors?

Knowledge? Expertise? Why does our current owner have people on the board?

Why wouldnt they bring in people with their own knowledge and expertise?

Given a lot of the frustrations aimed at some members of the board and their experience, bringing in someone with no expertise in football seems contradictory. As an example, you have mentioned the importance of using specialist construction experts in the building of the stadium and how that has lacked in other areas of the club/board. What makes these two any better any running football clubs that the clowns we have at the moment?

Answer: they aren’t the clowns running the club at the moment. That automatically qualifies them.

Ill just remind you that at one stage Mohsiri was one of those clowns not running the club. As was Ingles, DBB and Sharp.

Be careful there are a lot of clowns knocking around.

We don’t know who they’ll bring in, why would you assume they don’t have football experience anyway? For me they need big business experience. We have football people like Thelwell and Dyche, so I’d be happy if they brought in people with a proven record of running a world wide brand worth millions.
Bringing in Colin Chong to run a construction project worked, we now need business people to run the business.

For me, im hoping Christian Purslow has had a phone call from us today.

I was commenting on the article that mentioned Bell in particular moving onto the board.

It just seemed a bit like some of our transfer rumours where someone with a relationship to the club, gets a bit of clickbait to get people talking.

I’d have no issue with Bell being on the board, as a blue and a very successful businessman. Seems he’s been involved in the funding for the stadium so probably won’t happen.

Looking at the published fixtures for the new season, it seems very odd that no games are scheduled for the first two weeks of January. Is there a reason for this?

Winter break. It was planned to start last season until the World Cup was rescheduled.
