Louis
From next season they are going to show every Premier League game live and also offer streams on the internet for mobile and tablet devices. http://nbcsportsgrouppressbox.com/2013/04/16/nbc-sports-groups-2013-14-premier-league-programming-plans/ Sadly, it's for USA only. USA will have 380 live games televised, England will have 154. rubecula and Sibdane

Louis
Doubtful. Streams might be available with a VPN and subscription though. It seems that Everton have missed out on this for some reason, NBC are going to have a special tv programme devoted to "cut-down games from marquee teams such as the two Manchester sides, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, in distinct Monday and Tuesday night programmes." It wouldn't be so bad but Everton have had more American players than all of those teams; McBridge, Donovan, Howard, Max-Moore, Hanneman, Preki and Quinn (who never played a game). Iamryanstover
Fellas you should check out Aereo(https://www.aereo.com/)(im on mobile and cant hotlink). It is 100% legal service. They just won a major lawsuit, and for like $10usd you can watch the major american broadcast channels(ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS) online via computer or mobile in full HD. The company that started it receives the broadcast signal overt the air and redistributes it online. The big broadcasters are making a huge fuss about it because of lost revenue. I dont know if its legal around the world, but its prob worth a look.

Iamryanstover
This just makes me want to move to America even more. . Zoo, Don't feel bad. Many things here are not so great, and while I certainly love my country, I long to spend a few years abroad. For me its the whole language problem, work permit(although my girlfriends parents were both born in Poland so if we got married I could probably get an EU permit), and what would I do for a living. I try not to think about it to often because it gets me down.
Louis
They've just renewed today for six years. A total of $1.2billion apparently. That seems a bit high, I imagine the total figure is lower. They're paying $80m a season at the moment. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2015-16/aug/100815-premier-league-awards-nbc-sports-us-live-tv-rights.html

Elston Gunnn
Won't make any difference to us. Not sure if "us" here refers to EFC or football viewers in England. And I can easily understand that the preferences of American fans of Everton and the EPL is not your concern. Still, this is great news for American fans of all EPL clubs. For me and other Everton followers in U.S., for example, it means we'll get to see pretty much every Everton EPL match. And with British commentators, rather than the awful group of Americans one usually gets with Fox and ESPN. I don't doubt that Everton fans like some commentators, detest others, but as a group they're way superior to pathetic American football ignoramuses. GMorrison183
Things have changed quite a bit since when I first signed up here 8 years ago...from scrapping the depths of the internet for a low quality feed to now full BPL HD coverage . Now if BeIN sports would just get rid of their awful Ligue 1 announcer...then us American fans will be set.
Elston Gunnn
Definitely us as in EFC. I hadn't even thought it could be taken any other way tbh! I do have a question. Do those of you in England have TV access to all Everton EPL matches? How about Everton League and FA Cup matches?
MikeO
I do have a question. Do those of you in England have TV access to all Everton EPL matches? How about Everton League and FA Cup matches? Never to 3.00pm Saturday matches. There are around 150 live league games a season on pay channels but nothing free to air (apart from highlights). Details here http://www.live-footballontv.com/football-tv-rights-uk.html Sixteen FA Cup games are on the BBC live.
Hoof_It_Nev
Does this mean more games will be shown in the US or that they have just renewed what they already have for a higher price?
Louis
They already show every single game. It's a higher price and a longer length contract. If they sold the games without a cable subscription, I imagine a lot of people in the UK would subscribe with a VPN or similar.

We here in U.S. had cable/satellite access to all 4 of last Saturday's 3:00 matches. Each match had a British announcing team, e.g., Gary Weaver and Davie Provan for the Everton-Watford match. So would those 4 have been available on pay channels in England?

No. No games are ever shown on Saturdays at three. The thinking being, right from when games started to be shown live many years ago, that if there was live stuff on TV it would affect crowds right through the leagues. I get the thinking, makes sense. But now what perplexes me is where the heck NBCSN is picking up its feed from. I'm guessing the answer is simple, and I'm just missing the obvious answer. Again, here in U.S., we get every Sat 3:00 match, with your commentators. Are they announcing only for international (including NBCSN in U.S.) viewers? I guess the answer must be, yes. Are they announcing only for international (including NBCSN in U.S.) viewers? I guess the answer must be, yes. Over here in the US the feeds are coming directly from the Premier League with default english commentators in position for the standard games which air on the separate channels to maintain the coverage of all games. When it comes to the games that NBC has picked specifically for coverage on NBC Sports etc then they have the english based NBC Sports coverage commentators; Arlo White, Graeme Le Saux, Lee Dixon etc. which then tie back to the NBC Sports studio in CT with Rebecca Lowe, Ekoku and Mustoe. In the case of Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux etc they must have secondary contracts to work with other broadcasters. Much like Lineker who fronts the BBC coverage primarily but then does work on the side for NBC Sports and one of the middle east stations. Seeing the financial details hinting at the 1BN that NBC Sports has paid for the next contract. It was inevitable that they paid more with the great job they are doing. Better, quality coverage which improves the brand will only lead to the Premier League charging more and more. They do an amazing job here with their coverage, also helped by the time difference which means their is little sports competition on Saturday/Sunday mornings. I think it all started when the guy in charge of NBC Sports was traveling through NYC and noticed the amount of people wearing club colors that convinced him there was something to pursue which got them their first deal. Shukes
All our matches are recorded and commentated on. They just won't show them on a Saturday at match time due to the effect it would have on attendances. But we do have cable over here and can easily find streams of your channels to watch. StevO
the coverage provided by the premier league is massive. Each ground has to have a certain criteria to make sure the "product" is of good quality. You must have video sponsorship boards on the three sides of the pitch that is in view of the TV cameras. You have to have so many positions for cameras, I think it's about 15 now. Floodlights have to be of a certain brightness. You have to have so much space for the broadcast trucks. So many studios available. It really is a massive operation, carried out ten times over each week, broadcast to every part of the world. I know it's just a money machine, but we really should be proud of it I think. Matt
Romey 1878
I didn't know that about the sponsorship boards. I always wondered why it was only on three sides. I thought we were just cheap!

I read that one of executive's sons was getting up early on a Saturday morning to watch it online and it gave the executive to take the idea to buy the rights. It's just as well he didn't catch him watching porn.
StevO
We were cheap Mark. Could have done all four couldn't they? I only found out that part as I met with the company who installed and manage Evertons boards, they also do Saints (Rugby) and I was looking at advertisement there. Sad isn't it really when we're too skint to be able to put it on all four sides, even though it'd bring in far more money7 than it'd cost to intall.
