London Blue
Where is the width? How are we going to fit 4 CM's in midfield? I trust RM but I have no idea how this will play out.

Matt
No wingers says to me that its a containment job with wingers coming on later later to exploit tired legs. I can see Rom out wide again, unfortunately, or at least making runs to the channels to create space for Barkley and Kone (so expect him to be labelled lazy for "not getting involved enough"). It's a sensible line up, not exactly inspiring. Really depends on Martinez now. Will he stay stubborn or will he be dynamic. Just read that Jose has only lost 21 of his 200 Chelsea games, drew 40 something and won 130 something. Frightening.
Vranny
Could we be lining up as a 4-4-2 diamond and trying to congest the midfield? Just don't think I could take seeing 2 of Kone, Lukaku & Barkley playing out wide

Sensible line up? i may be getting my knickers in a twist a bit early but was there anything sensible about Galloway/Kone against Spurs? We have no width and will end up playing around the back again. Lukaku will have fuck all service. Just saying.

JoeQuince
Roberto: "It's not fair for me to force Romelu alone to feed on scraps, so how about I put another DM in along with Kone, so the both of them have an opportunity to share the scraps." Wingers are to Roberto like nice shoes are to me. I can't stop buying them, but I never feel the time is right to wear them. Might well be Barkley out left and Kone up front. Either way, it's a little scary.

I wouldve even preferred Lennon but we need to stop Fabragas and Hazard. Those two marked / harried and Costa will get frustrated and hopefully do something stupid. JoeQuince
What makes you think that Kone will be out wide left. ? it might be Mirallas Mirallas really is on the bench today. Unless the club is yanking our chains today, anyhow. He will come on at 85 mins to "hopefully change the game", with us having gone down one at the 49th minute. milesey05
The thing is this line up has the word CONTAIN all over it. Chelsea are not at full strength and have been bad this season. We are playing into their hands. Go 1 down and then Roberto will bring Naismith on.

People were very happy with the line-up a year ago because we started two wingers (McGeady & Mirallas). That went well. Matt
Keith B
Not thrilled with the lineup but I remain confident that our boys are coming out with pace and energy today. Still think we are taking 3 points from this game.

They like to keep possession, but that worked well for us vs Southampton so who knows. Not expecting anything from the game, if I'm honest.
