Starting second half with 11 new men worked to perfection, as tiring Gor Mahia players had difficulty keeping up. Obviously not a strong opponent, but for a first friendly, virtually every Everton second half player looked solid to impressive. Mirallas very active, confident, dangerous. He and Baines seemed on same page, nice to see. Barry totally in control, don't want to see him leave! Dowell active, smart, first-rate smash for goal. Picture quality not clear, but I think Besic played LCH. With so many midfielders, I wonder whether Besic might get some meaningful minutes as backup to Williams and Baines. I'm a Besic fan, so maybe it's foolish to think he could be Baines's backup. He's a tough kid, so Koeman might be able to stick him in at several spots, depending on need.
