It's not that he's a bad player; he just doesn't fit in this team. He did alright I thought, I don't like him but he did the false 9 ok. Tucked in well, the team were very disciplined. Hafnia
It was really good to see us perform in a disciplined manner. Mina looked very good as did Keane. We have a good mix of centre halves. James Rodriguez passes the ball like Paul Scholes did for United, the vision and ability to execute is on another level to anything we have seen at Everton in a long long time. His football brain is unreal. Wiggytop
pete0
At times I couldn't tell if James was gambling on someone being in the space or if he's just that quick at seeing the game. Michael Keane needs to improve on his passing, his body telegraphs it long before he even gets the ball from his feet especially with the Hollywood floated balls over the top as by the time the player gets the ball out the sky the game is all slowed down and the opposition back in position. If he plays it with pace and shifts it from his feet faster to give the player recieving the ball more time/space to work with.

Interestingly Keane said they didn't work on the changes in training and the line-up was only announced a couple of hours before the game. I'm not sure that side really could have played another way withall the square pegs.
