Looks like Patterson will be on the way out or right mid

doubt it's Patterson on the way out. Not been tested at all yet, so would make no sense what so ever.

Particularly at his age. We do need a longterm RB option now that Kenny has gone and Seamus is on his last legs.

I think he is a very solid and intelligent player, albiet maybe on the slight side. I spoke about him last summer befofe he had another good season with Saints and I would go back for him again at the right price.

As much as I agree we need full backs, I’m much more comfortable with Mykolenko, Patterson, Nkounkou and Coleman than I am with our midfield and attacking options. If we are limited in our spend please don’t blow the budget on a full back.

I’m not. Coleman is on his last legs and Patterson and Nkounkou have no experience at this level at all. Whatever you think of players like Gray, Iwobi, Allan etc.. they are at least Premier League players. I agree we need to have our attack bolstered as well but we’d be taking a big chance if we stand pat at fullback.

Was going to reply. Can’t be bothered.

Im at the point where I am not sure where we need to strengthen most!

Having bought two full backs over the winter, I would hope it isnt that position but given those names you have listed, who knows!

My view is that you need to be comfortable with the back up playing a large chunk of the season. I am not entirely sure I am confident about our starter playing the bulk of the season! 🤣

Another RB, CD, F/ Striker, CM, just to start with unless the under 23s have genuine players who can come in and fill those positions without letting the club down and embarrassing themselves because they’ve been asked to do a job there clearly not capable of.

Seems to be a lot of talk about Warrington and Dobbin being promoted to the first team squad next season and I would like to think Patterson would be given a chance

Not seen much of Warrington, Dobbin from what I’ve seen of him could definitely make an impact and very much a Lampard style of player, I was hoping that Patterson becomes the number 1 RB this season and was looking forward to someone taking over Coleman as backup.

Looks like we are showing interest in him, he’s out of contract in the summer, and has got to be an upgrade on Mykolenko when it comes to getting forward and creating assists.

He's a RB.

He's played LB but that's not his position.

He plays both sides equally well, and a player who is as versatile on either flank is a positive.
It probably won’t happen if Dyche is still here he would be too attacking for his style of play, but any manager who comes here would see him as a great acquisition when he sees our LB and RB players Coleman, Patterson, Young, and Mykolenko, Peters is no brainer when you look at what we have, and the fact he operates on both flanks makes it even more so.

He's a RB and that's where he'd predominantly be playing.

If he's playing LB for us (if we sign him) then our recruitment is continuing to be shite or we have an injury crisis.

No arguments he'd be a decent signing though, I'd be quite happy if it's true.

Where have you got this from?

I’d like him here but not seen any solid links.

I see Southampton have signed a left-back today. Maybe in anticipation for this sale.

Regardless whether he’s seen as a rb or lb, he’d be our best full-back by a mile.

I read it today apparently us and Leicester are showing interest, with us looking to use him as a LB, I will try and see if I can locate the article again.

Unfortunately, so would you and I don't even know if you've got both of your legs.

I was a rb/rwb actually but my knees went in my early 20s… both legs are still connected but only work at any speed on a bike.

Been tempted for many years to do walking football so don’t rule me out just yet 👀
