Given the players listed, I'd say Gomes' time at Everton is as good as over. Will he be transferring out in this window, I wonder?

I suspect there’ll be a few surplus to requirements.

Depending on who comes in. I’d wager 2 x definite:

    Rondon

    Townsend

    Potential others:

    Iwobi

    Keane

It only makes sense because he’s the best of a poor selection who were interested, I’m 100% behind him as I was Benitez Ancelotti Silva ect, I’m not sure how it makes sense, 6 months ago he got 2 votes when we were all given 5 votes to spread around the managers in the poll, one was mine as my first choice and can’t remember the other person or whether it was his 1st or 5th choice, so what has he done in the last 6 months to make him now the number 1 choice that makes sense.

Believe me this is a great appointment and if Ferguson is gone it’s even better. Fresh first team coaching staff! Lampard won’t take no shit off the board. It’s a great appointment

You need to read some of the other Everton sites not everyone is behind Lampard, and a run of 3 or 4 bad results and that will grow. Personally I will back him as the manager but for me he is not the right man this is too big a task for someone of his experience to take on.

I’m 💯 behind this appointment. He wasnt my first choice but it makes sense. I wonder who he will bring in!!

Does anyone know if ‘Wolf’ from Gladiators is available? ‘Wolf’ from Gladiators May have no direct football  experience but ‘Wolf’ from Gladiators’ record on Gladiators speaks for itself. ´Wolf’ from Gladiators’ ‘Wolf’ power might be just the thing we need to propel us up the league and get that Europa league slot this season. Just imagine us running out from the tunnel before a game with ‘Wolf’ from Gladiators leading the charge, with the theme from Gladiators belting out over the tannoy. Are you really telling me that’s a sight you don’t want to see?

That’s some heavy heavy drugs you’ve been taking mate 😕

Where does all this leave Big Dunc. Just thinking about a new guy coming in and saying I want my own assistant manager.

To be honest, if he genuinely wants to become a manager why hasn’t he tried to gain experience elsewhere? He’s been under all the failed managers surely that says something isn’t right? I also think other managers should get the opportunity to bring their own staff in. Why should they all take Duncan on under their wing?

    Duncan needs to go.

Much better than Townsend and is always looking to go forward.

I keep making comments on Gray holding onto the ball too long,  I lost count today of how many opportunities he had to cross into the box but tried to beat one more man then lose the chance he is so fooking frustrating.

Gray offers very little unless on the ball and when he’s not assisting or scoring he offers little else. A passenger. We need more from Gray

We play like that every week and results will come.

Some fans seem to think we have right to win, we don’t. Sometimes you are the better team… which we were, but things don’t go your way and you lose.

Moat fans know that was a marked Improvement on anything we’ve seen recently.

I actually don’t think it was an improvement at all. Same as under Rafa. The only thing I saw differently was Mina marshalling the defence.

Once again the bright spark was Anthony Gordon who should have started.

This was no different than the Brighton game.

We need more. Don’t know who can give it to us, but I don’t think it’s Duncan.
The intensity in Gerrard’s team is so much more than ours. Their midfield shut us down in packs, they knew our play was to go down the wings and the midfield backed up the full backs. This isn’t world class players, this is being organised and putting a plan to action. We need that.

💯 this Villa hunted us down from the 1st whistle to the last. Mcginn’s first couple of tackles set the tone and as you say that was more desire than ability.
