Gwlad reacted to MikeO in Middlesbrough - League Cup Quarter final
I'd be completely content to see him in the starting XI tomorrow personally. Definitely the type of game where he can make a big contribution.
Underrated and undervalued by much of the fan-base for his entire career imo.

Martinez will lose support if he insults fans intelligence.

Gwlad reacted to nyblue23 in AFC Bournemouth (Away)
At least there's Tuesday before we have to face a Palace side that just completely dismantled Newcastle.

Gwlad reacted to duncanmckenzieismagic in AFC Bournemouth (Away)
Had Everton not been woefully shite it wouldn't have mattered

Gwlad reacted to duncanmckenzieismagic in AFC Bournemouth (Away)
That was one of the worst 45 minutes you could hope to see Martinez badly got it wrong today. The game was won yet we managed to make Bournemouth look like Barcelona in the second half and we snatched a draw out of the jaws of victory
On a positive note we have stolen a point that we did not deserve!

Gwlad reacted to Aidan in AFC Bournemouth (Away)
Ross Barkley and Kone should one of those should have been taken off a long time ago. The pair have consistently given the ball away. What a shame. We've sat back and let this happen and it doesn't look like we can score another. If anything Bournemouth more likely. This is why we aren't a serious contender for European football.

Gwlad reacted to Finn balor in Middlesbrough - League Cup Quarter final
How about we try for once act like we should do and play our best team? I've never heard so much shite in my life. We are Everton! We are in a quarter final and we need to win it. I want, no I need a final, a big day to sit with my son and watch us win something. I don't give a fuck if that means we struggle between 8th and 6th. I want a big day and I want a trophy

Gwlad got a reaction from markjazzbassist in West Ham (Away)
Helps that he speaks English now which wasn't the case when he first went to Chelsea but yes he's surprised me.

Gwlad reacted to Romey 1878 in Middlesbrough - League Cup Quarter final
I'll say it again; we're not consistent enough to do anything in the league. So you can say all that but it means nothing if the team can't achieve it.

Gwlad reacted to Aidan in Norwich City (League Cup Home)
Granted I don't like it as much as the next person but fuck me someone needs to get this teams arse in gear and it doesn't appear to be anyone from an employed role in the club. Fucking joke of a team don't know why I bothered getting my hopes up this season.

Gwlad reacted to johnh in Norwich City (League Cup Home)
I thought we were playing at home? They have had 61% possession against our 39% and six corners against our none.

i would rather have him back for arsenal. let him get fully fit, i don't want him getting injured again.

Gwlad reacted to Romey 1878 in Gerard Deulofeu
I really hope Roberto gives him a run of starts for us. I don't think he's a player that you see the best of when you rotate him. When you do that he tries too hard to make something happen every time he gets the ball, which invariably leads to him messing up due to wanting to impress and then he gets frustrated. He's not like a Lennon; an unspectacular player who can come in and out of the side and you know exactly what you'll get. Tell him he's in the side for the next month or whatever and I'm sure we'll see big things from him.

Very reminiscent of the shite football we played in the first 6 months of last season :-(

Gwlad reacted to MikeO in Kopite Thread
This made me laugh on the Beeb.
Jordan Henderson: Liverpool midfielder breaks foot "Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has broken a bone in his right foot and will be out for up to eight weeks.
The 25-year-old England international suffered the injury in training and is likely to have an operation on Monday."
All very sad but does a serious journalist need to expand with this...
"The injury is not related to the heel problem on his left foot."
Of course it isn't you numpty, it's a different leg!

Gwlad reacted to duncanmckenzieismagic in Rate our Summer Window 2015
Its the third window on the trot that we have failed to address the number 10 position, Martinez has known for a very long time that we are desperate for creativity in the final third and so to not address it yet again is a massive failure. I also think we desperately needed another forward and again that hasn't happened
We have made some ok signings but we haven't really improved the starting XI

Gwlad reacted to markjazzbassist in Aaron Lennon
side note: we must have one hell of a dressing room. this guy wanted nothing to do with us when he joined and now he can go anywhere (and likely could go elsewhere in the prem) and has said he only wants to go to us and will NOT PLAY for a year to do so. hell of a compliment, RM's endless positivity does have it's advantages as well.

Gwlad got a reaction from markjazzbassist in Aaron Lennon
Yes but we need players - especially ones who want to be here - still don't know who may go tomorrow. If he spends the season out of the team his match fitness will go.

Gwlad reacted to Paddock in Aaron Lennon
We should wait for him if he is prepared to wait . Like Lennon he obviously wants to be here so hope we get him back. Players who WANT to play for you are a rare commodity

Gwlad reacted to c1982 in Tom Cleverley
If it's serious, actually regardless of this, I can see a deal for Lennon going through. Lennon/Cleverly give us that protection and balance with their working back on one flank giving the opposite winger e.g. Mirallas/Deulofeu more freedom.

Gwlad reacted to markjazzbassist in John Stones
Sadly me as well. I find myself wishing for Moyes, he could pick a defender and would have a few lined up. I'm just not sure with Martinez.
-
Gwlad reacted to Romey 1878 in John Stones
I hate football.
I honestly never believed for a second he'd hand in a transfer request (if he has). Not to mention how late he's left it too. We've been struggling to bring in a back-up CB all summer, how are we going to manage to bring in a starter that replaces the quality of Stones?
I said there was still a chance we'd come out of the window stronger, now we definitely won't. I'm sure we'll do some business when we get the money in for him (it'll be £40m max now) but we won't bring in adequate quality, and I'm embarrassed that this will be the only way we were able to spend money this summer.
Feel like fucking football off in all honesty.

Gwlad reacted to Peter H in Manchester City (Home)
I didnt mind Naismith coming on. He is the type of player that can fight and inspire the others to fight just as hard. He gets to much shit IMO. Good little player our Steven.
