It's finally here. Maiden voyage to Goodison. Any must do's before or after the match?

What I've loved about the last two games (Chelsea and West Ham) is that after the devastating collapse at Newcastle, it would have been so easy for the team to just give up on the season and cruise the last 8 games. And in my opinion, a team that wasn't playing for the manager would have given up. But they've bounced back in style. There's an aggression to their play. They want to win. That's down to Silva in my opinion. They're playing for him and for the pride of the shirt, and that's brilliant to see. I'm really optimistic about the direction of the team. The reaction to the Newcastle result could not have been better, and I think that's down to Marco.

Three reasons all with varying degrees of validity
Gomes has been off the pace recently.
Generally speaking, I like Tom away and Gomes at home. Davies provides a little more defensive cover which tends to help away from home.
Lastly, Davies is our player. It's basically April and we don't have much to play for - until we're certain we will be buying Gomes he shouldn't play. Brands and Silva must have seen enough by now to know. We need to develop what we have. Feel similarly with Mina and Zouma - though Mina isn'tt fit right now.

How are we going to replace Gana? He does such a valuable job.

Right let me say this I know there is a gana  fued on here with two posters I can’t remember who hates him and who doesn’t so I have no agenda but fuck me he is amazing at what he does. He ain’t Zidane but his energy and tackling are stupidly good. He needs piss testing. I really don’t know how you can criticise him. He is immaculate at what he does

Agree 10000000%. This comes from the manager though not the players - at least initially. Siggy is capable of being one of the 3 but Marco seems to favor the idea of no10.
In my opinion Pep's biggest managerial strength is midfield dynamics. Sure he has a shit ton of money to spend but so do a dozen other teams in the world and they cannot do what he has done. His ability to combine three midfielders and make the whole so much more than the sum of the parts is amazing. I love Gana as a player but he isn'tt suited to this idea of a dynamic three. Gomes shows flashes but in this new theoretical scenario he and Siggy would be too similar (creative but slow and not a great tackler). Until we try to solve this puzzle and create a viable midfield 3 we should expect to always be on the outside looking in. The 'top 6' have better players so until we find a tactical advantage we're cooked.

But there is 3 of them supported by the 2 full backs.
I think we just need to scrap the idea of a number 10. Its a waste of a position which adds nothing defensively and can also only add offensively if they can get the ball to them. When the opponent presses forward we only have 2 midfielders behind the ball instead of 3.

It's happening. First ever Everton game. April 7 v. Arsenal. Now I need your help...
Which seats are best? As this will likely be my only trip for the next 20-30 years I want the full experience. Preference would be birds-eye view in a loud section or as close the pitch as possible in a loud section. Also don't mind standing at all so if there are sections that tend to that I'm in.
I'll be coming in the night before from Newcastle (my brothers team - hopefully we see them stomp palace). What should we do Sunday morning? Best pubs for lunch and drinks before the game?
Thank you all in advance. Words cannot describe how excited I am. The tears are literally flowing just typing this.

Just looking on fantasy football whether to swap him out and noticed he got 8 assists last season. Has he even made 8 passes into the box for us? He's very Kevin Mirallas, head down and uses his pace to beat his man and come inside for a shot. Looks good when it comes off but terrible when it doesn't as they just end up running into their man.

Has he done anything right in 2019? It's been an unpopular opinion for awhile now but he's been crap for a long time now. How much longer can we ask the question?

Oh mark. Unfortunately this is not an international break at all. It's yet another reminder this season isn'tt where we want it to be. This weekend is the FA Cup, where we would be drawn away to Wimbledon and surely could have advanced. We don't play the following weekend because City and Chelsea play for the Carabao Cup, a competition we lost to Southampton at home in the 3rd round. Which brings us to Cardiff away, 17 days after our last match.

Seriously. We were clearly watching two different games. Walcott was the worst player on the pitch by a country mile. Country mile.

Kenny MOTM. Davies played well. Gomes was effective but quiet, as was his replacement in Sigurdsson. Tosun a nuisance when he came on.
Pickford, Zouma and Gana all with mixed games, each making a couple key stops but also crucial mistakes (leading to goals in the case of the latter two).
DCL was mostly anonymous, though that has more to do with how City control possession than anything else. Bernard solid but didn’t offer anything very creative. Digne the same.
Keane, Walcott and Richarlison all very poor.

Fuckin knew that was going in. As did all of you I guess. Fuck sake.
Other than that. I was pleased.
Enjoying the middle 3 of Davies, Gana and Gomes. Davies and Gana ate the terriers, Gomes that bit if assured class.
Good battling performances. Plenty to be happy about so far. Except the score.
Sane is an absolute nightmare for us!

Still standing like a statue on the pitch from Saturday. Joke of a performance of the bench. Fully deserves dropping.
