Better team won, simple. I'm not upset as I thought we gave them a game.

Everton really does get in your blood. I said it a while ago when I was having a burst of Everton love on here but I truly believe we have the best fans.

It's impossible to explain but I am obsessed with them - I've never known anything that can affect my mood so drastically.

The thing I've found along my travels is I'm always asked "why everton" I honestly say I crossed paths with the club because of Timmy Cahill and then my sister somehow married a bloke whose family is also Evertonians. However when I talk to a lot of people about football, your arsenal, chelsea, United even Tottenham fans these days couldn't even tell you the last starting XI , yet claim to be a fan. But when I speak to some of the Evertonians of generations before me, it's truly inspiring the impact this club has had on their lives. As mentioned before, I wouldn't trade any part of our clubs character for success, I'm proud of this club, although sometimes frustrated I will always love it!

In terms of excitement over the ninety minutes I'd agree with you, as I said I loved the 3-2 game even though we lost (screwing Liverpool softened the blow also).

Ultimately though it's about points on the board, if we were to finish fifth on GD we'd look back on games like that and have a little cry. Short term gratification v the bigger picture, know what I'd choose.

We came out understandably more cautious in the second half, contained them then suckered them on the break the harder they pushed up it was exactly the right way to play it for me. They never really looked like scoring. If we had come out and played as open and expansive as the first half and they had got one back early and pegged us back everyone would be furious for not defending a 2 goal lead.

We were spot on today imo absolutely spot on.

Adapting to face short term problem like injury is one thing.

Not being able to event try it due to lack resources is another.

Romeu has joined Southampton from Chelsea. Thought he looked decent whenever I've seen him.

I went Kone, solely because after missing that header, he could have hidden from the game. Instead he wanted it and got us back in the game twice. Delighted for him.

He was on half of what the likes of jags was, I think he has earned it. If "what was reported" is true then the club made promises.

Only in terms of bank transactions? Clubs have outspent us for years; Sunderland, Spurs, Stoke, Palace, Wham, Newcastle, etc. and whilst it's been frustrating (and hilarious at times) watching them throw money around, we've been "left behind", if we want to still call it that, in terms of position twice in 13 years for the most part (Spurs being the only exception). So I don't buy that at all. We are froogle with our spending, and thats the way any good business should spend (which is ironic considering the people in charge).

I understand this, but if their efforts account for fuck all, who cares?

I get the excitement of splashing the cash around, and I get the frustration linked with "bargain bin" shopping. For me, price is the last thing on the list. The important thing is we get the right player. If that takes a bit longer, so be it. Most of our best deals come in that final week of the transfer window, so I'm not going to get wound up now. Come TDD and the window closed and we've not signed the 2-3 player we need, I'll be right alongside y'all complaining, because then I'll have reason. Until then, we're complaining about speculation, which is nuts!

    Coleman Stones Jags Baines

    Barkley McCarthy Cleverley

yeah i'll have to update my lineup close to the match, we might play the u-21's since the whole first team is injured. an inquiry into training needs to be made.
