How often do those earning a 3rd at university really excel when it comes to real life, while plenty with a 1st struggle? It's the same with training versus playing in front of a full stadium. The adrenalin kicks in and makes a huge difference.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. How will we know if we don't give them the opportunity? What is there to lose? Rondon or Iwobi or Delph not playing for 90 minutes? Tosun not coming on as a sub? Big whoop.

There's a distinct lack of courage in the EPL to blooding of young players.  Largely driven from the expectation of instant results and just buying new players.  We're not getting results and we're unlikely to be able buy decent players anytime soon.
The idea that they're "not ready" is also BS.  Young players develop most through actual game time, put them on and play them. 
We're not winning anyway, Rondon and Tosun are rubbish and soon gone. Play for the future, show the kids some faith, and maybe give the fans some hope.

Part of me thinks this is going on but, if it is, why hasn’t he left?
Maybe his style/‘blue print’ just isn’t suitable for this league or club.
What I’m certain of is hiring a new manager every 12months and each time allowing them to bring in ‘their’ players and ‘their’ tactics isn’t the joined up thinking that this club needs and it’s the reason we’re experiencing this shit show currently.
The DoF should surely be directing the football unless I’ve really misunderstood that title… direct a style, a recruitment strategy, academy to 1st team, etc. I don’t see a lot of that at EFC.

I would have liked Simms to have come on for him when it went 2-0. He’s well off the pace currently but still think he’ll be useful over the season.

Surely a fat chunk of that was taken up by the wages we were still paying Walsh signings ? 
 
Walsh and Koeman set the club back years and I think it’s extremely unfair to try and pin that on Brands

He's been a DOF, and managed at clubs where he implemented the DOF. 
Seems like he enjoys projects and he likes building the structure, I can see how he might be sold on a partnership with Brands.

Rangnick, Conceicao, Favre, or Fonseca I could all get on board with.
Rangnick seems more about setting up  Org. wide structures and team identity, but if Brands and he can work together then great.  Talent selection wouldn't be a problem.

I think he’s deceptively quick for his size though - not quite explosive like Dom or Lukaku. Watching the game he uses his body so well already and really looked after the ball for Blackpool when played up to him. 
What ever happens with him I fully support - I just don’t think we need to go an splash £££ on another Moise Kean with him in the ranks. 

I think Simms would gain more from playing a full season in the Championship than sitting on the bench in the PL.

Wonder how this goes with player contracts, as well as transfer agreements. 
I imagine a lot have trigger clauses around qualification and games played in the Europa and Champs league (as well as premier league games, assuming they're kicked out of there).
At what point do contracts get voided, or sued over for transfer clauses.
