Basically goodison needs to be a bear pit, which I’m sure it will, every player at 100% intensity.  Hopefully it’s warm and we make their players mentally quit.

we are at the stage of the season where teams with a few games in a week will not be able physically match an output that we gave against man United unless they are in a situation like us.

Liverpool likewise will have their eyes on the champions league semi final just 3 days after playing us.  If at least 2 of their players are thinking of not getting stuck in because they don’t want to get injured then we have a chance of getting a point.

If all who played against Utd are fit and available for Leicester why change it, it would be a slap in the face to those who started, and those who didn’t would except or wouldn’t expect to be starting, sometimes players do enough in a team performance that says they deserve to play the next game and not to be dropped. Why anyone would consider dropping or moving Iwobi’s position to suit bringing DVB in, for me absolutely a no no and crazy to consider it he had to be the best player on the pitch against Utd, also for the same reason as Rom I wouldn’t rush Mina back in for Keane or Godfrey. Lampard needs to reward those who started against Utd and try to keep a winning team together, and the players will try to repay his faith in them.

We haven't had a settled backline (and CB pairing in particular) all season, and we've all noted how that hasn't helped with our defensive frailties, so after a game when they've actually played well as a unit you want to change it because Mina has managed to get himself fit for two minutes (halle-fucking-lujah)? It's stupid and I'd be saying the same thing no matter who it was that had played in the previous game. If Holgate and Godfrey had been the CB's, or any other combination of what was available, then I'd be saying to stick with what worked previously.
Then you want him rested against the shite, so another change to the defence in the very next game... we need continuity, not chopping and changing. Come on now!

Current situation.  They won't consider chemo or operation as they class my heart as 'heart failure'.  They are starting on a 2+ months program of strengthening the heart muscles.  These have become weak due to Atrial Fibrilation for the past 15 years.  A specialist nurse is coming on a home visit tomorrow to start things off. Part of it is loads of changes to tablets. This is something I don't like as it's always accompanied by withdrawal type issues.
When son came down last week to take me to the hospital he must have picked up Covid from somewhere. When he got back to Nottingham and a few days later, he tested positive for Covid.  I took a test on Saturday and I was positive too. One plus is that I don't feel  any symptoms whatsoever.  Doesn't mean much as I feel awful all the time anyway!

I think it was more his game was sacrificed to play left or right wing, in favour of Gylfi,James, Gomes, and Doucoure to play CM. He always maintained his best position was CM and now he’s getting a run there it’s showing he was right all along.

Back home. What a way to say goodbye to the Grand Old Lady. Brilliant day all around. Weather, pubs, atmosphere, result. Was in the last row of the upper Gwladys and lost my voice and ear drums when Gordon scored. I'd never experienced 'limbs' before. Will absolutely never forget it. It was complete and utter chaos up there. My ears are still ringing. One thing that will also stick with me forever - we had a get a cab pretty quickly after the final whistle so we couldn't stay for the entire postgame 'lap'. We were 2 miles away from the stadium when we hit the first traffic light and the car rolled to a stop. You could still hear the stadium singing and bouncing. The three of us just looked at each other in complete disbelief.
In terms of the match I agree with so much about what has been said. To watch it live is so different than on TV. Iwobi's work rate was truly unbelievable. No idea how he put that shift in. On the other side I've been giving DCL the benefit of the doubt for weeks. No more. Abysmal performance. The worst player on the pitch and it wasn't really close. No way he should play but when Rondon is your other option he sort of has to. Frank stuck on this one unless he's going to put Dele in and use Richarlison as the main striker. Lastly, great to see Myko step up. He might just be good enough for this level but I also don't see him ever becoming an offensive force. Hopefully Patterson has the goods because they could provide a really nice balance as fullbacks.
Both games I've been to were 1-0 wins. Anyone want to start a gofundme and i'll happily show up to every game haha.
Finally, said it a few years ago after the first visit but it bears repeating. Thank you. Thank you for giving this random American a footballing home. I can't make it to a game but every couple of years but I love this club with every cell in my body. You lot who've kept the spirit of the club front and center as football continues to change commercially should be immensely proud. Thank you.
Now let's keep ourselves up for Christ's sake.

I understand what you mean with the slurs on his character and I don’t want to go down that route, I personally find it difficult to believe any player would go on the pitch and not try or care whether they are happy or not. That has been aimed at a few players here over the years, Schneiderlin comes to mind, when the reality was he lost his ability and drive and couldn’t regain it, even a move didn’t work for him, this is what concerns me about DCL has he lost something or found a level that he can’t get above any more. He said he’s giving 100% and I do believe him whether what we’ve seen from him in the past is still with him only time will tell.

He will get better going forward, he has to lose that little bit of hesitation and go and trust the ball will arrive in the space he’s moving into, at the moment he seems to be caught in two minds of whether to stay or move forward which is holding his potential back slightly.

I would have taken the draw at Burnley to be honest, but if you dwell to much on the what if’s your end up a broken man. Your right another big performance against Leicester would be a huge step to safety, and that is something which is in our control.

I’ll take his word for it when he says he’s giving 100% who am I to say he’s lying, now if what I’m seeing is him giving 100% then for me it’s very much time to except he isn’t good enough to play for us. Most Evertonian’s know he isn’t a prolific goal scorer bar one blue moon phase at the beginning of last season his goals per games ratio is quite poor, but what we liked from him was his work rate and fight, he defended from the front gave defenders a hard time and brought others into play by holding the ball up, we aren’t seeing that anymore yet he says he’s giving 100% does that mean he’s at his max and there’s no room left in him for improvement.

For me again this win was as much if not more down to the Goodison roar as it was to the players or management, until we can show that intensity and commitment away from home, without the supporters pushing them to the win, can we really say we are improving as a team.

If he can play like he did yesterday and play a role in keeping us up that’s great, and he can then leave with his head held high, but no new contracts he is too injury prone.
