there is no federal approval. there is a building permit yes, but that's for the city its located in. in the case of bramley moore, this would have already broken ground in the US. it just seems to be unnecessary regulation. what does a guy in london know about the docks in liverpool? the guy probably has never even been there before, so what does his opinion matter? what insight will he provide? what insider knowledge?
those are rhetorical, i already know the answers to them
I’m not American or vastly knowledgable in the building regulations over here or over the pond. However a quick google and it appears some projects over your way don’t go as easily as you make out. Supreme and Federal Courts getting involved etc
There is no way you build a huge stadium on the historic docks of Liverpool with UNESCO world heritage site status and other historic importance and it’s not overseen by government. It’s right it goes there but IMO it’s right it’ll be approved and let’s hope it won’t take them long.

They have depth and we have delph.
Sums up where we are really.
Maybe that’s where we went wrong when the board were told we needed City’s depth to compete

His crossing is poor and statistics can be used to try and prove all sorts of arguments. Completion usually means that it makes contact with an Everton player following a cross and that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good cross. Also what is their definition of a cross? It feels to me that when he passes a ball into the box along the floor he’s much more accurate than when he crosses aerially.

Go back to the first 7/8 games of the season. Expansive, attacking football where we were conceding but getting out of jail by scoring more than we conceded.
The injuries exposed the weakness in our squad and games against Southampton and Newcastle proved this.
The fully fit first 11 was an indication as to where Ancellotti wants us but he has had to be pragmatic about tactics with a paper thin squad and fixture congestion and injuries.
Nowhere in Ancellottis history does it indicate he has a Moyes mindset ... But everywhere in Ancellottis history does it indicate that quite frankly - he forgotten far more than you or I know about the game. I know ... Very tough to take is that.
That last line was very ‘Yoda’ that was.

Give him a chance, he had about 20 minutes before he was moved wide. He was arguably the best player on the pitch at that point.
My biggest issue with him is end product. Some people quote dribble statistics or the fancy bit of play by the corner flag but I concentrate on the numerous great chances he’s had to cross and they’ve been woeful. He’s energetic around the opposition box and can see a pass but the execution is normally poor. When he does get it to the player it’s often fired in to them at a speed making it almost impossible to control.
At the moment I’m just not seeing a player of that value and quality to our side. Love to be proved wrong but suspect I’ll be right.

Not claiming anything Matt, just a throw away comment. If I was going to directly quote people.... I would have haha.
Honestly Think most who read that would have realised I was referring to the conversation that we are better without him.
We were without him for Chelsea and Burnley and we certainly weren’t better off!

When he was in the middle he was Ok put Richarlison through who’s shot was well stopped, he kept hold of the ball well found himself traveling with it looking for someone to make a run or get into space but it wasn’t happening, so it was a sideways pass but he wasn’t losing possession.
That’s my problem with him! If he’s only ok in the position he says is his favourite against a lower league club in poor form where he is the one reliant as being creative in the CAM role, then he’s not good enough for where we need to be.

No one would buy him for the amount of money we’d be wanting to recoup, so I think you’re right.
Another one in our long list of ridiculous signings.

Just seen first goal. It's on Iwobi and Holgate.
Yep - for me more on Iwobi as Holgate breaks forward but as a footballer you should know when this happens you have to take personal responsibility but Iwobi doesn’t and seems more intent on marking thin air out wide. Schoolboy stuff.

I think no matter the result, I don't see a world where the football we play today isn't on the ugly side. Need to lower our expectations and hope for a 1-0.
I’m hoping for more than a loss!

Another win against Brighton and a loss against Man Utd on your view.
4 losses imo wasn't down to James & Gylfi being on the pitch together- the whole team were shocking in those defeats.
At this moment in time i would prefer James/Gylfi starting over James/Gomes.
With Allan Doucs and Davies fit there isn’t necessarily a need to make a decision on Gomes or Siggy. I’d have them behind James. Not a lot of width but lots of endeavour.

Today's results worked out very well for us: Leicester dropped two points, Man United dropped two points, and Villa dropped three. United face City this weekend and could drop three more. If Leicester lose one more game and we win our games in hand, we would be in second place.
And this begs the controversial question, with the FA Cup quarter finals coming up. If (and it's a big if) we had to put all our focus and efforts into one and not the other, which would you prefer? To win the FA Cup and finish seventh in the league, or lose the FA Cup quarter final but finish second in the league? (You can argue for both the cup and second place, but, in my opinion, we don't have the squad depth to do that.)
This question is asked a number of times but currently we are only two games from Wembley with the toughest game next round. I really can’t see that with our squad if we beat city why we would have to choose? If you ask what you’d rather on a personal opinion I just want to win a trophy.

Not sure we should have ever bought him.

I skimmed through it for maybe forty minutes and watched the voting happen, our team were ultra-professional and the councillors were highly impressed by them and the plans (but we knew that anyway). I'd have watched it live if I'd known it was available, but no point watching the whole game when you know the result is there?
LCC need to produce a MOTD style highlights package. Saying that maybe not as if it was similar to MOTD we’d probably get 2 mins at the end devoted to us.

They've got their new manager still tinkering with lineups and players, and they will have 1 more day of rest as they play Wednesday and we play Thursday.
They play after us tonight so get a couple of hours fewer rest. They also play Liverpool so I don’t think we can complain on that front.

Watch him be in the squad now. Carlo tends to be a bit of a liar when it comes to who’s available and who it isn’t, so I don’t trust him anymore .
I do on that one!

Richie - his appetite and desire to constantly get stuck in and hassle the opposition as a forward must be a constant thorn in the side of their defenders. Also took goal brilliantly.

Allardyce saying in his post match interview today on this game, "Everton have a massive distinct advantage over us because they don't play that week." Says they wanted it moved to Wednesday. Your mob have two days extra rest pie-man so where's our advantage? Check the fixture list you dick.
Nice to see big Sams attentiveness and attention to detail is as it was when he managed us.

I understand @milesey05 point but defensively we looked good especially as Allan didn’t look match fit. In attack we looked dangerous from every set piece but could have created more. My view is that playing not to your potential and still winning fairly comfortably is good trait.

Carlo needs to bring this up. It's getting daft... Keown was desperate for them to score the prick.
In fairness there was a sub in stoppage time which is mandatory added time and a lengthy injury to one of their players. I think it was probably 30 seconds or so too long and the ref (wrongly) allowed it to continue as they had a corner.
