Desperately hoping I feel excited when I’m walking up to the ground. It’ll feel so shit not to.

That’s exactly how Im feeling at the moment. My son is Mr Negativity (prob due to social media) and I’m just a bit ‘Meh’. I’ve been disappointed with the ticketing situation and even Stubhub (although I get the reasons) but the stadium news is fantastic and I’m sure the minute the siren plays and z cars booms out I’ll have goosebumps.

  2. Got mine too and uploaded fine and sons to iPhone. Being a southern fan I’m interested in how the new Everton resale platform will work. I hope this will allow a number of members more chance to go so I’m all for it as I only sold mine on stubhub previously for ticket value so will make no difference to me financially where unfortunately some others didn’t.

I’m almost convinced reading the FAQs that there is no actual requirement to have a Lat flow test to gain entry. I’ll get my son to do one on the day and just take the test with us 😂

I'll be honest the Covid situation has been clear as mud in terms of going to the game, wherever you look there are different guidelines.

I'm just going to take an LFT on Saturday morning and take proof to the game, at least then I can show that I'm negative and get into the ground - I'm having my second vaccination tomorrow so by the time the next home game comes along I'll probably be close to just having to show proof of the jab.

And upload on the NHS app? My son does regular lat flows (especially when at school) but has never had to upload results anywhere. From reading the above I posted it doesn’t seem that it’s a necessity.

  4. And then at 5 when I got to 22’nd they hung up! 🤬

On another note reading the FAQs it sounds like you are only strongly advised to take a test pre game!

Do I need to take a test to attend a match?

The Club strongly encourages all fans aged 12 or over attending fixtures to take a lateral flow test no more than 48 hours before the fixture to maintain safety and protect fellow matchgoers.

Do children need to take a test?

Children aged 12 or older are strongly encouraged to take a lateral flow test no more than 48 hours before the fixture to maintain safety and protect fellow matchgoers.

Getting more confused by the minute. I’m fine as I’m double vaccinated and have the Covid app for my son I’ve certainly got some unanswered questions.

  5. Has anyone received their season ticket holder digital email through yet?  I’ve not yet however I’m trying to contact the club now on an unrelated matter and I’m 56th in the queue on their phone line! 🤦‍♂️ I don’t think you need to be genius to foresee some problems with all this.

    Everything knowing Everton .

I can see it now. Can’t find anything that relates to a child? I go with my son and most children are exempt from covid testing eg. Holidays etc if they are with a vaccinated parent. From reading that he might need to Lat flow and upload on government website. 🤷‍♂️ I’ve only quickly read it but it doesn’t seem clear. As I’m double vaccinated at least I don’t need to test every time.

Supposed to be the beginning of next week now.

I'm sensing there are problems with it. Oh joy!

Thanks Romey. Nothing like last minute! I must say I’m not a fan and will make me sharing it occasionally with my parents no as easy.

Any organisation that tries to hold the city to ransom and openly campaigns to keep a derelict wasteland hidden away from public view rather than a multi-million pound project that would bring in jobs and provide a massive boost to the cities economy by bringing the entire area back to life and enhancing the cultural experience by preserving and renovating  said heritage structures and bringing them back into public view can only be bad for the city, so for me they can shove it up their arse

I completely agree that’s what they’ve done but it’s biting your nose of to spite your face.

Not really a hard one to justify - in Calvert-Lewin, we have the most lethal aerial finisher in the league over the past few years. We have no out and out wingers to supply this lethal aerial finisher. Our new manager is likely to play with wingers so would obviously like some top top players but these top top players cost a lot of money, which, from overspending on average players, we do not have. Now nobody has said Townsend (or Gray) is their top choice and we all hope we can sell some players to bring in these top top players (who most have never actually seen play but they’re dead good on FIFA and Champ Manager and they cost loads so must be good!) but it makes sense to bring in decent players who offer direct pace (something we lack) and more importantly crosses for DCL (and Richarlison) who can come off the bench rather than bringing on Coleman to make play right wing or a centre back to play full-back and move Digne to left wing or Iwobi to moan about not being in the middle or Sigurdsson to point where someone should have been to cross the ball… we’re not talking about wasting £20m+ on Bolasie, Walcott, Tosun, Sigurdsson, Gomes, Iwobi and we’re not talking about paying them £100k+ a week like Bernard or Sandro - these are competent squad players on short term deals - sensible in my opinion especially when you consider Townsend and Gray combined will cost a third of a Mo Besic!

Answer me this - are Townsend and Gray going to have more or less impact off the bench than Bernard and Iwobi? I think more personally as they both have pace and will both run at players. Hindsight shows we should have kept Vlasic and Lookman but we didn’t and we didn’t actually lose money on them anyway.

I’d take almost anyone over Iwobi.
