Not tactics.... More the fact that our personnel has been created around 2 players who are missing and we look shite without them.

Alladyce signed tosun to be our starting 9 and Koeman/Walsh’s whole strategy was Gylfi to whip balls into Giroud but just missed out on Giroud.
The club was desperately mis-managed for so long and Dominic took so much of the weight on his shoulders when he probably wasn’t ready but it’s made him the player his now.

This whole team deserves an audience but I feel that for Dom the most. He's a real credit to the club. Asked for the shirt and has been determined to honor it. Seems to genuinely love and understand Everton.
Deserves his goals and will get many more in this team.

I wish we had another 7 or 8 contentious decisions go our way.  Pickford should have walked,  Richarlison was right to walk, their goal should have stood.
But Robertson should have walked, mane too, VVD should have been on a yellow at least after 3 minutes.... BT sport can fuck off too 

I drop him for soton and see what reaction he gives.
I will say though, I don’t think he needs telling that he was having an off game. I’ve never seen him get so irate as when he did to Henderson and it seemed to be more so out of frustration for his own performance.
Can say a lot about him but I won’t question his heart. I believe he is grateful for us and we need to help him rediscover his best because it will make us a seriously much better side.

As for James throwing imaginary yellow cards ... I'm disappointed..... Disappointed that this is the first time in years we've had a footballer with enough street smartness in him.  The pricks will have him on the injury table if we play nice old Everton.   
He knows how to play the game, I'm sick of us having the likes of Gerrard and Carragher ref our matches.  Maybe if the fairplay League wind us trophy's and millions of quid I'll look at it again..... Till then, fuck em

Apparently Van Dijk is out for the rest of the season. While he is a Red, I still hope he comes back strong. He is a quality player and I hate to see anyone suffer an injury like that.
I also hope it does not affect Pickford in a bad way, seeing someone injured because of your actions can have an effect. 

This is where Iwobi , Bernard and even Gordan now have to take there chance at step up to the plate. How the 'back up' play this next few will give us a really good indication of how our season is going to go.
 

He’s going to have to be very ‘blinkered’ and have the right people around him as he’s going to get absolute dogs abuse for a long, long time by those vile (and I’m not saying all Liverpool fans are vile) fans. Richarlison has already had to take his apology tweet down for all the racist abuse he’s received. When it comes to things like this, it’s one rule for them and another for everyone else - they won’t let this go. Hopefully Pickford keeps his head down and cracks on - the lockdown may actually work in his favour. I dread to think of the abuse he’ll get at the return fixture should fans be back by then.

Carragher knows what’s coming next for Pickford. Sadly, opinions like Souness calling it an assault will be what makes the headlines.

Seems like Pickford is currently enemy No. 1 in the media. It like there is a competion to see who can voice the most 'disgusted' they are with the tackle. A unnessasay frenzy is being whipped up. 
It was a bad tackle and unfortunatly a player got hurt, it happens. There was no malise or retrobution in that tackle, it was a under pressure keeper desperatley trying to stop a second goal. Fair do's to Carra for being one of the only level heads in the media. 

I thought both Gomes and Doucoure struggled yesterday.
I found myself thinking Allan was having a poor game the first 20-25 minutes but quickly realised he was being dragged out of position because of the gaping hole in front and either side of him.
To cut it short Allan was 2v1 a lot of the time.

To be fair, we drew with possibly the best team in Europe and certainly the best team in the country. 
Gomes didn’t have his best of games and can be better, but he was no passenger. 
You don’t get a result like that, against a team like them, without 11 players putting a shift in. 
He can and will do better, but I’ve no issue with anyone on that pitch yesterday. 
Take that draw, it’s a fucking horrible derby and we weren’t embarrassed, and move on until we have to play them again.

The next game at Anffield is gonna have some build up, particularly if we can stay up near the top of the league. I agree with the sentiment that we should always be classy in terms of injuries to opposing players. If we do not act any better then we aren’t any better.

Pre season has nothing to do with being rusty due to being out for 3 weeks.
Yes he was poor today, but he has been good in the other games he has played in. He has formed a great relationship with the rest of our midfield. I look forward to seeing him continue that.

I noticed Allan and Keane when in possession were well  pissed off with the lack of movement in front of them when they wanted to move the ball forward. 

Yeah saw this too. Allan was at other players at times too, needed those players for a long time

To be fair to him, it’s been a busy international break for him. Little rest and go again next weekend. 

If I had an option to watch it legally, I would. But I can’t because they’re not available here. I already pay close to £60 a month on media services, but none of them allow me to watch the game. If the companies wanted more income, they’d lower the price and allow access more freely around the world. But they don’t and won’t, so I’m perfectly happy knowing it’s got fuck all to do with morality and entirely due to their greed and shortsighted business models.
