Our biggest problem, even putting aside things like mentality and defensive mistakes has been scoring goals. DCL out for the best part of two seasons and no decent replacement was the reason we lost or drew so many. 
With Beto coming, looking to hit the ground running, and hopefully DCL finally back to fitness (let’s put his facial injury down to bad luck), I’m much more optimistic that we’ll score a lot more goals and give ourselves a chance of winning a few more games - cos if you don’t score you can’t win.
Having said that, I also worry about the effect injuries will have on our squad. We don’t have the depth required for a long PL season. If we can get DCL and Beto scoring goals then that’ll be a start. Hopefully, we’ll somehow manage to scrape through to January where we can maybe look at reinforcements. 
I really do not want to be having a conversation about whether we need to sack another manager come November/Christmas. But ultimately, that’ll be decided by how many goals we score and subsequently how many losses we turn into draws and draws into wins.

Been a tough few years for him to be fair. Barcelona he was treated horribly for not being a Xavi or Iniesta. Here he found a home & yes his form dipped but that injury was horrific. Seems a genuine good guy & if he can find even 70% of his best self he can contribute here in some part.

Just read a piece saying that he's actually worked miracles financially for us in this window. 
Allegedly, the only fee that has been spent is the £3m loan fee for Danjuma. Beto and Chermiti fees have both (allegedly) been kicked down the road until the start of the next fiscal year.
If true, he's done a great job.

Playing wise, overall Gray has been an OK signing given the modest fee he came here for. However, that is becasue we had so much shit come to the club before him for decent fees, our bar was not set very high. 
He has showed flashes of a player with some good ability, but he has never came accoss as a particulaly good team player. This is why I think he spent much of last season under Dyche off the pitch. Dyche obviosley didn't see him as dependable. - Dyches manta last season was minimum expected was maximum effort. If Gray was not putting in this effort or following team instructions given, then very difficult for a manager to be putting you on the pitch ahead of those who put the effort in or followed instructions. He is not a player who is talented enough for the rest of the team to carry - even if in his own mind he thinks he is. 
The lad has obviolsey been showing a bad attitude with regard to the current regime at the club and ultimately decided to air his laundry in public. Glad the Dyche has given the other side of the story.
Gray ultimately gets his move, and it a shame we can't really afford to let him rot in the reserves out of principle, but its where we are. Given that the club can't do this, I am glad Dyche and the club defended themselves against his comments.
 
 

Well hold that thought... let's see if Keane makes his way back in whilst Branthwaite is in form. Then we'll get a real answer.

For sure, behind the scenes, there's a lot more to this, but Dyche hasn't been slagging him off in press conferences.
Also, if it's true that he was doing similar stuff at Leicester then that tell me it's a character thing.
I just think they are more grown up ways of handling the situation than posting snide posts on social media. I personally believe that people who behave like that are rather toxic. Hence my get rid comment.
If Dyche has blocked a move, that's a different topic, but that's on Dyche. And most definitely the wrong call.

It looks more and more likely that there’s something surrounding Moshiri buying Kenwright’s shares that means he has to keep him around. A clause of some sort maybe?
Sending that man packing with the other board members was the easiest win Moshiri could ever have.
