It's in our hands as long as we aren't deducted an additional 5 points or more. Until we know the penalty it's impossible to know who controls their own destiny. Burnley on Saturday is MASSIVE. Begging everyone on here who is going to be in full (and united) voice. We've kept this club afloat for almost 3 years now. What's a couple more weeks. COYB!

Ah shit I forgot about that.

    Bollocks

Still...could be argued we have 18 points to fight for where we mostly have a favourable chance to win (I write off the Shite and Arsenal. Chelsea can be done though).

Well if you look at the "watch him go when he leaves Everton" comments then yes.

He will leave, he's playing like he's leaving. Will he become this world class player? - no.

I hate to use Gerrard as an example but physically and athletically he could do what Gerrard did for Liverpool for us.  He's clocked the highest top speed for a midfielder this season - he's literally a gazelle, he can tackle, he can pass, he's strong, he should dominate the air.  Can't shoot but I'd have thought he would practice that....

ultimately we don't see it. We don't see it cos it's not in him. Simple as that.

Onana? Top speed out of any midfielder or just ours? Honestly wouldn't have thought he was pacey. Which kinda says it all.

Hope so mate, starting with a midfield of Onana, Gana, and Doucoure meant we never going to be in control of the game. Gomes and Garner gave us so much more creativity and time with the ball, the difference was like night and day.

    Won't change it though 😂

I'd probs feel 'safest' with Gana in along with Garner and Gomes.

I know Gana causes debate, but he's the best we have at cleaning up. So leave him back to do that. Let Garner and Gomes off the leash a bit.

Doucs and Onana, away from all out effort, aren't giving us what we need.

To be fair to him, he ran himself in to the ground tonight.

All I’ll say, is we looked a lot more like an actual football team when Gomes & Garner came in to midfield.

Gana had some loose moments on the ball as per usual but he buzzed around. Onana had some decent moments on the ball but strolled around.

We deserved the point from that, much better performance from the squad & credit Dyche for the triple change.

Ai. Hopefully Dyche see's how the dynamic changed with Garner and Gomes on and is brave enough to allow more creativity to play.

I agree here. We haven’t actually been that bad. We’ve had some good moments.
But there just seems to be something not connecting.

Yeah. I guess the 'something' is not having won for 12 games and struggling to score for about 3 years!

  6. Eeeeeh.

I know it's easier said than done, but I kind of hoped, with our lack of goals and winless streak, we might have found a way to play DCL and Beto.

I also know we don't have an abundance of options. But it feels a bit like 'hit and hope'. Just keep going and hope something changes.

I guess we'll see plenty of balls being played out wide, and crosses coming in for the defence to clear.

Don't expect anything from today regardless. Hoping for a gutsy, hard performance like we had for the first 4months of the season.

Newty I like what you said, but can I just add Haf is a decent bloke he is with me and we disagree on more things than we agree on, now some who will disagree with what I said will probably say it’s because we are out the same pod, and that’s fair enough but all I can do is try and be as honest as I can.

Yeah it is what it is.

I see what I see and know what I know. One of my few strengths is being able to read people.

At the end of the day...I ain't part of no gangs, cliques or whatever. I don't want to be. I don't need to be. Not as a fake persona on here or in actual real life.

I see what I see and that's more than enough for me.

    Back to Dychey then eh...

And yeah.... just like I said on my reply to Steve - the same applies here too.

To cut a long story short newty I see similarities with how Palfy views the forum which he has politely stated several times.

I'm not here to fit in and if people agree with me then fine - but people can fuck off if they think they can join in for a gang up if I say that I think Lukaku is bang average or palfy thinks Gana is overrated.

seriously - the hypocrisy on here is absolutely mind boggling.   It's alright to bullishly argue with some but not others eh...... cos then the gang and the people who wanna be in the gang join in.

    sad.

    Ah well.

Can only try to be reasonable I guess.

    As you were then...👍

Still fancy him to do a better job than this fkn idiot.   Dyche actually blamed only having one day with the players........ what was the purpose of the 3 week break then? Yeah we know a Onana, branthwaite and Pickford were on international duty, all the others were with him n the sun?!??

maybe that was the reason why we've seen the same tactics as the other previous 12 where we failed to win.

He's embarrassing himself even more with the shite he comes out with.

That 'one day' line really didn't do him any favours. I watched him say that and thought 'No Sean, you haven't just said that after a 3 week break...'

  10. Fuck sake.

This is us for the last...however many seasons.

Can't score. Now we're back to shooting ourselves in the foot.

Even the 'but we've had 6 points taken off' is disappearing because it literally only puts us 2 places higher where as it was originally putting us in contention for Europe!

This run, under whatever circumstances, is not acceptable. We can, we know we can, do better than this. We've shown it!

Newcastle away next. Fuck that one off. Then we've got to limp over the line in the last 8 games and just hope.

But its sad that we're left to hope once again. We should be doing better than this. Not loads better...I'm not daft...just better!

It's not difficult to establish where this is at:-

    1. Dyche slapped a played in the back of the head in front of teammates and in a public place

    2. player was clearly upset and it required senior player to intervene

    3. manager realised he needed to apologise

between all 3 facts there is a degree of what people deem as acceptable banter.

my conclusion is dyche would not have done that to a player he held in higher regard/respect. Bullying type mentality

    What's the definition of 'fact'?

They would try and pay as little tax as possible, but just not by devaluation of their profits.
Yet I as a sole trader and not a PLC would do what I could to make my profits disappear so as to pay less tax, all above board and legal of course 😉

Hmmmm. Dunno. Shareholders know the game.

I do the same as a Sole Trader too. I'll pay what is due in Tax but I'll reduce it as much as possible. But then, however I decide to do that will be taxed somewhere along the way anyway.

It's a good way to keep the money flowing I guess.

I wouldn’t say that Newty most PLC companies would want to make as much profits as they can, it’s good for their shareholders and allows for dividends to be paid out, and makes sure CEO gets his big bonuses, and he isn’t voted off the board by disgruntled shareholders.
To avoid tax they register their companies in tax havens, the sooner G20 stop this nonsense the fairer societies will become to all who pay and have paid taxes in the country they live in, and companies pay taxes were there profits were made.

100% agree with the sentiment of what you're saying.

But I'll still say that PLCs will do all they can to pay as little tax as possible.

    That's just business.
