  1. I don't think it's too surprising that Beto gets the nod. DCL is on a horrid run and has been as guilty as anyone of missing chances.

Let Beto batter the defence then bring DCL on when they're all bruised!

Other than that...not far off our strongest 11. Arguments can be made about Godfrey I guess.

To be honest, not arsed about the petty stuff. Like everyone...just want the win!!!

  2. Just looked at the table...automatically went to the bottom! Felt strange scrolling up to see us.

Then realising how good that felt. It will likely feel good for the players. And for the fans in the stadium.

More, another 3 points will make it all feel very different as we can realistically look ahead instead of behind.

This is what I mean it’s all complete guess work. I heard the other day that it will be two separate panels that deal with ours and Forests cases so we could get two completely contrasting views on the severity of each case

But whatever happens I think Luton will survive so it looks like a straight shoot out between us and Forest for the last relegation spot

    I don't think so.

I expect us to find form and pull away. We're in our shit spell...we'll come good.

I thing the argument put forward regarding Russian sactions was that Moshiri had a gentleman's agreement about getting some more money from USM for naming rights while the stadium was under construction. PL and commission stated that there is no documentation of this, so not having any of it. In the appeal document just issued, this was fairly specific and did not cover our general sponsorship deals with USM.

Sanction in March 22, and losing a major 'suger daddy' sponser going forward will have majorly hit us July 22 onwards. We still has USM on board for most of 21/22. only lost them for April, May and June in that accounting year.

What else would have caused us to lose so much more money in 22/23 if we are actually spending less on transfers and wages?

Was it not something to do with the structure of interest payments for the cost of the stadium? Was there not some sort of rule shift during 22/23 that basically meant we had to account for interest payments on the stadium money (because it was 'internal' money?), whereas if we had taken a loan from a bank, we would have been OK?

That was the chat going round after the original verdict anyway. I'm not great with the official wording though!!!

reading through the finding of he commissio  and looking at this charge it looks like financially

    year 1 £55m loss

    year 2 £53 loss

    and year 3 (£124.5 - £55m -£53m) so must be -£16..5m. loss.

now if we look at this with regard to the up coming charges.

    year 2 - £53m,

    year 3 -£16.5m

    so year 4 must be (£105m - 53 -16.5) giving-£35m.

now we all know that we don't have  net player spending in year 4 or increase in wages, in fact it must be the opposite.

I think we should be in a much better position for arguing any losses in year 4, because this is the year that the Ukrainian war broke out and the Russian sactions actually kicked in and  overnight we lost our major sponsorship. its not realistic to replace this kind of major sponsorship in a matter of months.

Year 4 will be last season won't it? Aug 22 - May 23?

Russian sanctions started in Feb 22, so the 21-22 season...so year 3??? Because we've already put that forward as an argument. And it was rejected.

  6. You shouldn't be getting punished again if it's based mainly on a single year, which I think it is.

Let's say a club, over 3 years, is sound for the first 2 of those years. Then the owner goes nuclear, so spends like fuck in the 3rd year.

If that 3rd year stays being 'the one', you get done for another 3 seasons.

Each season, losing points and places in the league...therefore losing more money.

They've just got no fucking clue how to apply it logically.

Hence, they're changing it next season.

My gut feeling is that there have always been others interested but that 777 offered the best terms for Moshiri, while other suitors were offering less favourable terms to Moshiri that would be better for the club.

    That would make sense.

I just can't imagine these guys where the only ones.

    Can only hope I suppose.

    777 seem pretty tricky.

I've often found it difficult to believe that only the likes of 777 are interested. With the stadium, you'd expect 'someone' of better reputation to be interested.

The only thing I can think of is that the financial set up at the club was/is such a mess that only 777 have been dumb enough to put a foot forward.

I've also thought along the lines of wondering, controversially, whether the passing of BK changes the landscape at all?

    Is right aswell.

You can tell its creating an unnecessary anxiety around Goodison Park.

Do we know, at all, how many clubs are facing failing PSR? The January window would indicate a fair few!

I wonder if there really is a decent amount and that's why the PL want to change the rules next season.

Sorry, I know this has probably all been talked about already.

These are the the players brought in by Dyche, Beto, Chimitti, Young, bought, Harrison, and Danjuma on loan. Of these 5 players which ones have impressed you, which ones have improved the team, and which ones are better than the players already in their positions.
For me only one player fits all Harrison when playing on the right wing, also I believe Danjuma on the left has the potential to be better than what we have, but injuries and lack of opportunities have held him back, yet when he has played he’s very positive in what he’s trying to do.
Beto hasn’t shown that he’s good enough for this league, he hasn’t been able to impress and isn’t able to replace a very underperforming DCL.
Chimitti we be unfair to judge he’s hardly had any minutes to impress, and was meant to be a player to improve for the future, my only concern is that 15.5 million is a fair bit of money on what essentially is a big gamble.
Young simply not good enough at this level anymore, a liability at right or left back, and well below the level of Harrison on the right wing, to be honest I struggle to understand why Dyche still plays him.

Beto: I think he has more than being credited for. Very rough around the edges. Like DCL, is left fighting for scraps with crosses and passes that go all over in the final 3rd. I like him.

    Chimitti: Absolutely no idea.

Harrison: He's done good. On a shite run in line with the team just now. But isn't he up at the top 3 or so for goals and assists? He's certainly chipped in his worth.

Danjuma: Looks a threat. The problem is he's a greedy selfish cunt. I wouldn't play him.

Young: Thought he was a good signing to fill in. Problem is he's filled in too often and in positions he looks awful and has let us down. Defo Weakened Dyches credibility.

I think the signings we've made are reflective of the market we're in. We'll have to get used to it I'm afraid.

The only way they can get themselves out if the corner they’ve painted themselves into is to lower the points deduction or change it to a financial penalty or transfer ban.

It should all be 'suspended' pending clear improvements. Whatever it ends up being.

The other thing that bugs me, I'm sure it does you and everyone else, and I can't quite get my head around, is that the next charge is to be announced in April?

But then I guess that has a right of appeal too. But the timeliness of these things, so far anyway, show that the season would be finished!

As we all know, the more we talk about it and look at it, the crazier it all gets.
