Newty82 got a reaction from BlueBlood81 in everton vs city
I'm an old wirral boy, now up here in Cumbria. I have loads of pool and Utd mates.

Yes, a few have said they would like to see us in 4th. But I've no doubt that is because of where they are.

I also have to listen to all the 'small club, skint, full of loans, bitter, woodison park.....' shite.

    Until they lost to Chelsea.

Now its all 'hope you's can do us a favour' brown nosing bullshit. And that's what really really grinds my balls.

    1) I want Everton to win every game
    2) I don't give a shit if it 'helps' Liverpool
    3) when we do beat City, and IF it contributes to you's winning the league...you's will only instantly revert back to the bitter, small club shot all over again. And despite you's hoping we beat City and do you a 'favour', you's will instantly dismiss that it was of any importance!

I say to many of my red shite pals 'are you utd in disguise?'...you's act exactly the same.

I want both teams in Europe next year and every year because it is good for the city and the people of the city. The city is an original home of football with 2 clubs soaked in fantastic history. We both need to be back in Europe.

As for the whinging about Chelsea and the buses. That's all bollocks. Read what Jamie Carragher said about it. He hits the nail on the head. Basically says pool did it in the 70's and 80's a plenty. Plus plenty of times in recent years to good success.

    That's all.

    None. They're all shite.

Why would anyone sign players from a relegated team? Wouldn't happen on our patch.

    No they don't.

The only miracle people can ever quote is the resurrection of Jesus. And even that's bollocks.

That's my favoured option the more I think about it. Put more emphasis on the midfield. It's our majority position. I don't want us to see 15-20mill whacked on one player.

Plus, like half said, I still think Kone can do a job. I reckon he will get 10-15 a season for us...so another one to match that maybe?

Just gonna throw this out there and see where it goes...

I previously have agreed that a 20 goal a season striker will whack us into the top 4. However, I am changing my view a little!

Only one team so far this season has 20+goal strikers...Liverpool (suarez & sturridge). That may change and Utd with Rooney and city with Aguero may join. So 3 teams.

Last season, only 3 teams had a 20+goal striker, utd (van persie) city (aguero) and pool (suarez).

Season before...3 teams...city (aguero), arsenal (van persie), utd (rooney).

So these 20+ goal strikers are rare...The same few names crop up.

So I'm thinking that the way football is played now, with 1 main striker and 3 mids just behind...is it not more important to get those mids right? Maybe we over emphasise the importance of that striker, hence they cost so much. Spain won the euros without a striker? The game has changed???

All the players I mention have been active in the last 10 years.

There is definately a difference between all time and current. I know that. My list is no where near an all time one.

Lets be fair here...every manager gets it wrong. Infact, there aint a single person in existence that doesnt get things wrong. Its human nature.

So many holes in his story.

This one is as blatant as any...we all know the first shot hit her in the hip. Now, if someone gives you a dead arm, you would shout at least 'ow you bastard'. He claims she made no noise upon being shot in the hip. No noise? She got shot in the hip before falling down...but made no noise?!

    The bloke is a joke.

    So angry.

Normal line up for man u and the rest of the games please. Stick to what we know works.

I cant understand how I can be watching the same team as that that beat Arsenal 3-0. Why the big change? I thought we had it sussed in that game.

Today, we tried to play too direct to the 'creative' 3.

Ah whatever. It didnt work. We best be fuckin angry for sunday.

Should say fair play to Palace.

They looked quite nifty with their attacking passing and movement. And where clinical in front of goal. 4 shots on target, 3 goals.

We have about 30-35, 000 everton fans go to home games.

Im pretty sure we have more than 35, 000 fans.

By my mathmatical genius, I would say we have alot more 'armchair' fans!!!

Lets be honest, no real fan is going to be unhappy if we finish 5th, thats almost a definate for me.

So there is nothing wrong with being hugely optimistic about being able to finish 4th. Some may not want to admit we have a chance for fear of being dissapointed if it doesnt come off...but as long as we remember we are outsiders, then we can enjoy the ride! Its just brilliant that we are pushing for it, and that as fans we are talking about it!

As for certain players being key etc, we'll all have our own views, my view is that 14 players are key in this run in...from front to back. They all have to be on game.

He is better than Gibson yes. And more reliable.

BUT Gibson still has a big role to play for us, whenfit.

If the contract is decent, I see no harm in having Barry for another year or two.

Dont think so. There has been no mention of it in the press?

Plus the ref seen it, usually when the ref see's it and takes no action then thats that.

Arteta...well Im in the school of thought if players get flack, they should be able to give it back. He did well for us, we got a good fee for him. Its his job now to do whatever he can for Arsenal. He owes us nothing. Thats just me, probably in the minority!!!
