rubecula
Rubes, the drum song (Voodoo Child) is originally from Elvis Costello I think. Thanks Louis.

pete0
14:34 minutes worth of a Smiths Best album. Took me a while to get into VU, so thought it may be the case with them. Nope, they have one or two decent songs (in general, not just based on this album), but other than that they are bland and mediocre. Really don't know how they always get a mention when people talk about great albums or bands. Edited August 18, 2013 by pete0

I really like The Smiths and do like Morrisey's voice but can appreciate why people don't! Marr is brilliant!

I was actually going to include you in the post , but thought I may have got your thoughts on them mixed up with Joy Division (as I remember we both prefer New Order). You guys are dead to me! :shaking fist: I have even convinced my wife who is pregnant with our second child that if we get a boy this time he will be given the second name Morrisey. For example Jonatan Morrissey H (which is the front runner at the moment) Right now listening to

The Dublin show last night was easily the best gig I've been at in years. And I saw The xx a month ago Sibdane

Ian C
Their new stuff is absolute shite though. I could fall asleep listening to their latest effort. So boring. Yeah, new album isn't great - but the setlist only has 3-4 songs from the new album, 1 from Invented and then nearly 20 old ones. It's faultless

They fell off a little bit after that.
