Retained and Released

Recommended Posts

There's a few surprises in there alongside the usual not good enough to make it at PL level.

Reckon you could get a pretty decent starting 11 out of the lot have been released.

Gomes (Tottenham)

Cole (Chelsea), Lexcott (Man C), Ferdinand (Man U), Dossena (Sunderland)

Albrighton (Villa), Lampard (Chelsea), Collison (West Ham), Gera (West Brom)

Bendtner (Arsenal), Etoo (Chelsea)

Eto'o, Cole and Lampard can still play meaningful minutes for the right team.

I only hope it's not us. We're well stocked at LB, AMC is Barkley's position and Eto'o still could do a job but he'd be too expensive in wages.

Thought Villa had high hopes for Delfouneso.....surprised to see him there. But looking up his stats he's been out on loan a lot, maybe didn't live up to expectations.

Maybe worth a punt? He's still young.

I'm definitely not saying I want him here though.

"Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner was mocked for telling a newspaper in his homeland that he wanted his next club to be "Real Madrid or Barcelona".

Now it is more likely to be Crystal Palace or Burnley following his exit from the Gunners, for whom he has made just one Premier League start in over three years."

He really is a mental patient, absolutely no connection with reality!

He's not even good enough for those clubs so he should be counting his lucky stars.
