MikeO Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 McCarthy already... Yeah. Good performances all over the park but James stood out. No weak links. Quote
marcopaulo Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Deserved his standing ovation he was awesome Quote
gethinO Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 McCarthy was superb, his work rate is incredible. However, decided to give it to Lukaku tonight. By far his best performance in a blue shirt and very unlucky not to finish it with a goal due to poor decisions. Showed excellent touches and vision and worked harder than usual. More of the same please Rom. Quote
Newty82 Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Went with Lukaku. Simply because he made a big leap in the standard of his play tonight. He looked a different player. Some nice touches. Nice ideas in the link up. Bags of energy. Brilliant. Massive shout to McCarthy too. Not a blade of grass untouched. Really good team performance tonight. Quote
Guest millwallforever Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Naismith, McCarthy, and Hibbert had a great game. Quote
Blue 250 Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Boy has Naismith turned things around, for me on that form he's got to be one of the first names on the team sheet, Lukaku also had a really good game but MOM for me would be McCarthy. Quote
Guest millwallforever Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Naismith reminds me a lot of Adrian Heath. Perhaps not quite as comfortable on the ball, but the same work rate. Naismiths finish was a worldy. Quote
markjazzbassist Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Everyone was fantastic. I gave it to mcgeady. 2 assists, defended well and got back, and much much improved. Glad for him, now let's see it every week. Quote
MC11 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Everyone was fantastic. I gave it to mcgeady. 2 assists, defended well and got back, and much much improved. Glad for him, now let's see it every week. McGeady did have a decent first 45 tbh. It's was a kinda two good two bad with him though. His delivery for the first two goals were excellent. Quote

Shukes Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Actually went for Rom as I thought he was much improved, looked very hungry and was tireless up front. Was unlucky not to have a couple of goals too. Quote
Hafnia Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 I think most improved player would be Lukaku, but was he the best player in a blue shirt? For me it was 1. McCarthy by a mile 2. McGeady 3. Naismith 4. Lukaku That's not having a go at Rom, he did have a good game but motm because it was an improvement kinda isn't the usual rationale or is it? GoodisonRoad 1 Quote
Paddock Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Heather or Paul? We could have done with Heather on the bench at times this season. McCarthy Happy now Quote
Ten Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 McCarthy for me. Baines second. Rom third. Naismith fourth. Heather or Paul? You mean William Shears Campbell right? Quote
Cornish Steve Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Toss-up between McCarthy and Lukaku. Went with McCarthy. Quote

The rationale is that it's your own opinion, so long as it's not totally random, then it's a personal viewpoint. So, for me, it's not just a simple improvement with Lukaku. It's a step up to another level that made him stand out more than anyone else. McCarthy was ace too. Several players upped their game last night. So unless it's an obvious crude opinion, you can't question anyone else's choice. Matt 1 Quote
