nyblue23 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 If we're to sell Stones, we have to spend this. Stones to Man U for £30m plus Evans who we can turn around in two years for the same cash once Holgate is ready. That leaves £20m to spend on a backup striker and #10. Quote
captainbeaker Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 It's not vastly different, not like chelsea offering £20m for stomes and |Everton wanting over £34m, and United 2 for 1 offer for Baines and Feillani. He'll be a good signing, and if stones goes another such as Evans will come in. Quote
JoeQuince Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 I hope this one happens. Him and Stones as a pair, with their abilities on the ball, would be exciting. I like that this guy puts himself about, too. Quote

Whether they get through or not if a prem team come knocking with the right knock they will sell him, a million percent they will. Quote
Guest rusty747 Posted August 18, 2015 Report Posted August 18, 2015 One thing is for sure. The next 2 weeks will be an emotional roller coaster for all Evertonians. markjazzbassist 1 Quote

JoeQuince Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 http://www.football-italia.net/87097/everton-%E2%82%AC45m-koulibaly I would love to have him... for the price quoted last summer. He could be a solid enough replacement for Stones (should he leave). But, that price is a bit absurd. Quote

But, that price is a bit absurd. He's an absolute beast. He's very comfortable with the ball but he's also a brilliant defender. Quick, tall, strong, two footed, 25 year old who had an fantastic season last year = he's gonna cost at least £35 - 40 million. Would love him here but not at the expense of Stones. Imagine having 4 CBs - two right sided in Jags and Stones and two left sided in Mori and Koulibaly... Quote
Romey 1878 Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 IF these bids are true we're coming across very much like West Ham - throw huge bids out there all over the place and hope some shit sticks. Hopefully we'll actually make a signing soon. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not a big money signing at all now if I'm honest. Quote

London Blue Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 Allot of money to blow on one player, especially when at the moment we have 3 center backs. Quote
StevO Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 But we only have three. We'll probably lose Stones, but even if we don't we at least need four. If someone is available who is better than we have, we should go for them. Quote

Stones may or may not stay, but Jags has max 2 seasons in him so this would be good preparation for his replacement. Quote

Agree, but we have Galloway coming through, and others. £40 million out of £100 when we need a new creative midfielder, winger and goalkeeper is allot. Quote

EFC-Paul Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 If this bid is genuine, Stones is gone imo. That's my thoughts on it aswel but I'd still like to bring in another solid cb I don't want to see Jags starting many games if we are to push on Quote
StevO Posted July 10, 2016 Report Posted July 10, 2016 London Blue, I agree. But we can't count on the kids to make it, less than 5% will go on to play for the first team. Galloway is further a head from his first team experience before he came in. When better players are there we need to get them in, being ruthless is the only way to progress. Quote

That's right but Galloway played well for the 10 or so games he featured in and looked like he was up to the required standard. Quote
