There is the tendency to be optimistic about some new signings but to me Beto has been a disappointment.

Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly going to try and make Barkley one of his first signings, he is reported to be really impressed with his displays for Luton this season. 
That’s fair enough who hasn’t been impressed with Barkley this season, but what I would find concerning as Utd supporter, is another chairman / owner who wants to buy the players and when it goes tits up sacks the manager. 

Confidence doesn't explain Barkleys achillies heel though which is his footballing brain. Apparently linked with United today

Tonight Evertonians took part in kopite behaviour........  
no we didn't march with a cake, we didn't fly a plane with a banner telling the board it's time to go, we didn't leave a match early.  None of the things that fans do when the chairman and board need to be replaced. 
Because of the apathy and acceptance of shite going back years - we found ourselves wanting Liverpool to win a game that takes them clear at the top.

I wish him well he’s a decent man, it would be a shame if his career ended due to a serious illness, so hopefully it’s nothing to serious and he can leave on his own terms when the time comes. 

Been listening to the Undr the Cosh podcast a lot of late.
Of all the managers that come up there are two that stand out when mentioned by the players as almost universally admired and loved: Warnock and Dyche.  
 
Apparently Dyche really knows how to look after a player, and pays particular attention to those who are injured or with problems.  There was one big name player who had huge injury problems at Burnley (can’t remember who, some bonkers Irish winger I think), who had basically given up.  Dyche personally take him out for runs, takes an interest and treats him like a human.  Said they’ll never forget what he did for them.  Loads of stories like that about Dyche.  Whatever he might lack tactically, he at least is a thoroughly decent human being.  
 
Apart from when he’s doing he’s pre season ‘Gaffer’s Day’, which sounds horrible.
