    Well there was another.
    What a hilariously awful header

Do you honestly think having another manager with these same players, will change anything?
Were running out of managers to get these players working to be honest.
Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most respected managers ever. He had to walk as he simply knew there was nothing he could do with this team. Who is better than him, that can come in and change the way these players play?

I honestly believe the ethos of these players is what hurts us most. I’m going round in circles saying this….. and it will all become clear when we get players that are more about press, aggression and work rate.

A very poor west ham side beat us today by simply turning up the pressure for ten minutes, that’s all it took. But can we turn out players into highly aggressive players? Course you can’t, no manager can change the fundamentals of a player. This is why we have transfer windows.

It's a complete lack of intensity that lost us that match.
Every single one of them needs to be showing more on the pitch. The amount of passes back into our half is an absolute disgrace. The amount of times players receive the ball, put their foot on it and then have a look around to see what they wanna do with the ball. Gray a prime example of this and someone who should be pushing forward a lot more. The amount of lazy backward passes and pure half-hearted from him today, really pissed me off. But that goes for all of the players.
Fuck confidence, fuck coaching, fuck tactics, fuck the board - today's on the players. They can't hide behind Frank, the board, Moshiri, or anything else; every one of them needs a good kick up the arse.

Iwobi’s pass to DCL.....  Like his shot that hit the post in the first half......  Players will think, we just need a little luck.
But the problem isn’t bad luck.  It’s consistently mediocre [being generous] passing, poor crossing, poor finishing, little team speed, awful recruitment.

I’m not sure, either, but not just because we don’t have any consistently good crossers.  My impression is we rarely have enough players in the box to receive the cross.  Corners are an obvious exception, and in this case Gray did deliver a perfect ball.  Onana hasn’t been good at heading, but this time he was.

Brilliant result in isolation, but we must carry it on against Brighton. We have to get some consistent positive results.

Why can’t teams allow managers to grow with teams the way players do.
Wrong time to change your manager. If we do….. then we need to get rid of every single person in tie back rooms.
We brought in a few players that we think can grow with the club, but they need time. We also lost our main striker again. We have a transfer window coming up. Why would we just bring in another new manager instead of seeing if Frank can find a few more pieces of the puzzle?

Instead we want to just throw all the pieces back in the box and start from a muddle mess again.

I think we're actually incredibly fortunate for the WC break happening now. Lots of sides will be frustrated as it halts their momentum. We need a full reset.

He gave a lot of players who haven’t been getting game time a chance to show what they can do. They showed him; they can’t do much.
My only gripe with this team so far this season is we don’t shoot. Frank was one of the best at scoring from distance, I’ve seen him talk about always aiming for the middle of the goal as you rarely strike the ball perfect so it’s likely to go to the side of the keeper. But work the keeper!! The only players who do shoot are Gordon and Gray, and normally with a defender stood right in front of them.

Needs a big performance from the rested players on Saturday.

We can't keep changing managers. We just can't. Not unless it's so obvious he's the problem. I think he's far from the root cause of the problem though.

Wouldn't mind a spot of 442 myself.  Rondon and Maupay up front, let's see if that sparks the little man to life.

This seems a reasonable starting point to consider what this team is.  Was the Palace match the real Everton, a team capable of a top 6-8 finish?  Or was the Leicester match, with mediocre-to-poor play, the real Everton, a team that will be bottom third of the table, maybe even in another relegation scrap?
I lean toward the latter — we’re not very good — but I’m not confident in my judgment.  Am I seeing what I think I’m seeing?
I think I see a team (1) whose defense is much improved, (2) that is utterly woeful at (a) basic passing and (b) competent finishing, (3) with several promising midfielders, yet only one of whom is actually delivering, match after match, on that promise, (4) that lacks some combination of pace, energy, aggressiveness, determination, and unity on the counter, and just in possession generally, and (5) whose players, especially in key moments going forward, simply make the wrong decision, failing to notice the right pass, for example.
Consistently I think the opposing team passes more crisply and more purposefully.  Consistently I think the opposing team shows more energy, pressing more effectively and winning contested balls.  We seem under pressure more often than pressing the opponent.  We are outfought way too often.
Thus, I am rather more surprised, if gleefully so, when we play well, than just routinely dismayed at our standard uninspired play.  I don’t often enjoy watching our matches.
Yet ....... I am not sure that what I think I see is what’s actually happening on the pitch.  Maybe I’m just pre-disgruntled, soured by our last several seasons, expecting to be disappointed and so, disappointed, angry even.
    What are you seeing?

It’s a real problem.  Gana has to be the sitter, but if we’re playing from the back, it’s through him, which is, to put it kindly, not his strength.  This is a big issue.  Don’t know how Lampard deals with it, but I hope he recognizes it, as it’s obvious.
