By far his best performance of the season. Hopefully he can back that up after the international break.

As much as I agree we need full backs, I’m much more comfortable with Mykolenko, Patterson, Nkounkou and Coleman than I am with our midfield and attacking options. If we are limited in our spend please don’t blow the budget on a full back.

Sir McGiven reacted to Goodison Glory in James Tarkowski
Here is a smartscout comparison of Mina and Tarkowski. They both offer the same attacking threat (headers etc) but look at how much better Tarkowski is at disrupting play and winning back possession.
"It’s clear the former Burnley and Brentford man loves defending. He’ll head anything that moves (aerial duels quantity 99 out of 99), frequently make defensive actions (e.g. tackles, blocks, clearances) out of possession (disrupting opposition moves 69 out of 99), and is active in getting tight to his man (defending intensity 87 out of 99).
On the ball, he has been used to playing long (progressive passing 95 out of 99) without too much regard for keeping possession"

What a season it has been... Phew!
It's been 2 days, I wasn't able to watch the game but did watch the entire game on record, same night. Thrilled with the comeback and glad we dodged relegation. Damn!
I hope this teaches the club something, and I mean the board and management. Because I don't think there will be "next time" before hitting the rock bottom, this was the last exit IMO.
The only positive thing about this season was Gordon for me. I hope he continues his development, he has a star vibe.
    Well done, Blues!

No way I can take anything personally. I do not earn part of his salary   I am around here whenever I can and following Everton as before. Sometimes it is getting hard (that's what she said) to follow up the forum and write down my opinions as life has started to kick out after the heat of the pandemic, work hits back hard again. But I am around to read all the time. Thanks for your kind words Steve.

With our safety guaranteed I’d prefer Leeds stay up because they have Marsch. Other than that I really don’t care who goes down.

Due to my age, my first memories of Leeds are the unbelievable Champions League squad they had (and then the subsequent downfall). I don't mind them at all, but am well aware of their history and why they're so hated.
I'd probably prefer Leeds to stay as they offer more to the league than Burnley do, but wouldn't shed a tear for them if they dropped (which I think they will).
Burnley I guess would be the best team to stay for Everton too, they're always going to be a turd that doesn't flush, especially with the owners they have.

Richarlison and DCL would be first and second out the door for me. I don't think we'd miss either one to a great extent but the worry is would we adequately reinvest that money? I'd just be crossing my fingers at this point but we're going to have to take the gamble.
Mina's a waste of space and we shouldn't be offering him a new contract (even if he'd sign it). Get shut and move on. If someone wants Keane and/or Holgate they can have them, but we'd have to bring in an experienced CB (or two) because there's no way we can pair Godfrey and Branthwaite for a season.
I'd get rid of Iwobi if anyone was mad enough to offer anything around £20m.
If we get relegated then Pickford will bring in a decent wedge as well, but if we survive I'd definitely be keeping him and have our eye on getting a younger player in to play understudy to him so we had a quality replacement ready to go in 2/3 years.
We've got to wheel and deal this summer, no matter what happens, because this squad needs absolutely gutting. Not just small changes but wholesale changes.

The only positive to this signing is that it brought some Turkish fans to this forum, especially @Sir McGiven. I hope they remain Everton fans and don't take our attitudes to Cenk Tosun as personal in any way.
