Harv reacted to RuffRob in Newcastle (Away) 8th February
Game did change massively when Grey off. Imagine how St Maximan going off would have effected Newcastle.
Second half, we definitely looked like a team who had played 4 days earlier, Newcastle looked a lot fresher and with the crowd behind them also had an the extra half yard. Sometime its a little too easy to say we where just out battled without looking at the big picture - when Goodison is rocking it is like the 12man, but that is the same for most home teams.
We have also changing the way be play - in a week!!! This is going to be the risk of bring in a manager who is going to flip from defensive counter attacking to possession based high pressing football, its a massive fundamental change, and its really not going to work like clockwork overnight. We could have gone there and got behind the ball and waited for a counter - but we didn't we had 61% possession and tried to play.
What we need to make sure is that in our home games we get behind the team just like we did at the weekend. Winning most of our home games is going to be key, as we adapt from counter attacking to possession based high press. As fans we have to whole heartedly get behind the team as it develops.

Delighted with the win. Wish to hell this was a league game though.

Absolutely agree on the fingers burned comment. More times than not it has to be said. At least this time we didn't spend 40-50M and top wages and long contracts.
onwards and upwards like you say. 😀

Not the best deal of the window to be fair an option to buy would have been better, but hey if he gets the goal or the assist that keeps us up then he will be the best deal of the window.

We were missing a player in the Klaasen role when we had Klaasen 😜

Think it would have been different answer if we had offered him the job rather than asking if he wanted to very publicly apply for it

Thing is mate once you give control of a club to one person you will never get a balanced view on anything, you will just get their views and if you don’t like it you either put up with it or fuck off. The moral of the Moshiri story has got to be be careful what you wish for, we have learned a painful lesson which has more painful paths to go down.

Best of luck to the bloke. Has had a fair bit of shit thrown his way and I think the departing statements show that he is not solely the issue at this club.
That's 2 DoF's and how many managers in in 5/6 years?

Harv got a reaction from StevO in Final position in the table
I am already watching the results of the teams below us.
Brentford appear to be going backwards but Norwich and Newcastle have found some form. Probably a couple more signings for Newcastle to come.

So so difficult to see how any manager comes in and starts getting results.

But Lampard is not much more than a manager who currently hasn't got a job. His biggest selling points being he is available and is a famous name. Nothing really screams we need to get Lampard.

Just about the last thing we need is extra time.

Harv reacted to RuffRob in Brighton at home
definitely caught cold in that first half having not played for 2.5 weeks. That was always my fear for this game. DCL not so sharp either and gutted when he missed the pen.. All in all we lost that in the first 30mins. I think if we would have played the Newcastle game a few days ago everybody would have just been that fraction sharper - and I think we would have won todays game.
on the positive, great to see Gordon finally get his goals - hoping he will kick on the goal scoring front now he has that monkey off his back.

Got to find someone who wants him, who’s willing to pay his wages and for him to be happy to leave. Tough ask.

Harv reacted to Palfy in Ross Barkley
The only reason I would want him back is so I could here the boos from the first to last minute, from those who hold the values of this club at the pinnacle of what it means to be an Evertonian. He claimed to be one of us yet wouldn’t sign a contract that was on the table for over a year and would have made him one of if not the highest earners at the club. Instead he shit on us in such away it still makes my blood boil, going to Chelsea and so say refusing is medical to come back here and spend all season in our treatment room being paid, only to then sign for them when fit for 15-20 million less, he did a deal with them that cost us millions and gave him a few more quid and saved Chelsea million’s. I’ve heard excuses for him that he’s a bit thick and was led by his agent and Chelsea, no excuse in my book, he may be a ham sandwich short of picnic but when you’re an Evertonian you’re led by your heart not your bank balance. For me he can never be forgiven and welcomed back he betrayed us and that can’t be forgotten or forgiven.

A bit of a loss with some of the comments on here, this lad shit on us from a great hight, after we had nurtured him from a hopeful kid, into a premier player. Showed no gratitude whatsoever, and people want him back.
I would sooner finish 10 to 15 in the league, than 8th with him in the side, we are EFC not some pub team, when people treat us as bad as he did, he only deserves contempt.

He’s still better than most of what we’ve got. I’d have him back no problem, a loan could be ideal.

Harv got a reaction from MikeO in Rafael Benitez
Very true and that scenario would be the case for who ever was at our particular wheel.
As you rightly point out, if we can't spend. Next best unload a couple, need to hang on to some. Just to put a side out as awful as they are.
We are well and truly snookered for this season and may be next.
I'll go and pour a drink.
Cheers.
