Daka wasn’t on the bench on Saturday despite being fit (according to the Leicester fan I know) - they went for 2 goalkeepers instead. They think he’s definitely off somewhere with us being the main link. Bambi on ice and worse than Maupay was the feedback I’ve received but that is probably full of bitterness with them going down and losing all their players!

Fulham did a really weird thing today… they took their striker off for another striker and even when their striker, who had come on, looked like he would need to come off, they had even had another striker ready to replace him 🤯

Came out of Goodison frustrated as fuck with that, so it was like I'd never been away really .
We had so many chances in that game, we just can't put them away. Same old. Please get a striker and get DCL fully fit as well.
I know Maupay is getting stick because he's the whipping boy no matter what (I know he missed a couple of chances as well) but I thought he actually had a decent game. I'd have left him on when Danjuma came on and subbed him on for Garner instead so he could play out wide and run at people. He's wasted as a lone striker.
If we can get goals into the side then we'll comfortably be safe. If not then it's going to be a grind. Make it the former Everton, ffs.

And that’s the problem Newty months of highlighting targets for the summer window and as to date a failed window, is why we find ourselves putting out the same team that wasn’t good enough last season. But we’ve somehow managed to be worse we’ve ended up with Keane starting again, I really thought we had seen the last of him as starter last season.

What a terrible team, I put them down for a 3-1 win but it could be the other way round 1-3.

After all the problems of last season and the words of how we are going to change things for next season, who in all honesty would have thought this would be our lineup for the first game of this season. Shockingly unbelievable.

Too many fans are obsessed by goal stats, yes if you have a player like maupay who can’t offer an element of physicality or creativity then you need him to score goals to justify inclusion.
There’s been quite a few strikers in the prem who are low goal scorers but make a huge difference to the team.  Firminho, Richarlison, DCL, Giroud…. They improve their team. Simple as that. 

An improvement on previous transfer policies, then! 👍 

I’m pretty certain Dyche is just trying to keep the pressure off Dele and keep the media speculation to a minimum.
