Romey 1878
Aston Villa are unbeaten in their eight Premier League meetings with Everton since their return to the division in 2019 (W6 D2), having lost five of their previous six against the Toffees before this. Everton lost 1-0 to Fulham in their first Premier League game of the season. The Toffees lost their first two games last season, last starting a league season with two defeats in back-to-back campaigns in 1955-56 and 1956-57. Villa lost 5-1 to Newcastle in their opening league game of the season, their heaviest defeat in their first game since 1985-86 when they lost 4-0 to Man Utd. Everton have lost their last four Premier League games against Aston Villa, but they've never lost five in a row against them in their league history. RuffRob
I think this is going to be a very tough game, I don't think a hammering at Newcastle last week will have done us many favours. But football is a funny old game, so enternally optomisitc we can nick something.

Have to go in to this one believing we can take 3 points here, will need a big game from the back 5 as Watkins & Diaby have goals in them. Bailey
No doubt they will play the better football and try and control possession but we can get at them on the transition, especially off Torres. Doucoure could have a massive game on the break again. Matt

Gana & Onana will have be on it in midfield & quickly move the ball forward.
Harv
There aren’t any easy games in this league to clubs in our predicament. I am hoping for a point and a goal would be nice, getting greedy now.
Btay
More confident with Dom starting. Hope he gets through it and we create the same quality chances we did last week.

Matt Tiger
If we can get a solid 60 minutes or so out of DCL I think this is gonna be a good match. Have to assume given how cautious dyche was that he’s in decent match shape.

badaids
Dom can now have a ‘free elbow’ on the soft face of the opposing player. Should be a rule.
dunlopp9987
Not being facetious, the only reason I knew Onana was on the pitch was when he went to check on DCL. Been pretty much anonymous so far
