Quinn31 reacted to Cornish Steve in Ellis Simms
Personally, I always wondered what Haf thought of Lukaku when he was here.

Sure but how many times have we said that in the past after a good performance. And then we go out and look like shit for the following 4 games.
Don't get me wrong, I am loving the good vibes around the team with Dyche in charge. But we've just seen it too many times to count where it doesn't last. So until we can pull ourselves comfortably clear, I'm going to continue to closely monitor the teams around us.

What will really decide our fate this season is upping the performance and results in all the games we are expected to win or take something from. We have dropped the ball in some 6pointers already, and this is the reason we are in the position we are in.
Playing Liverpool away will look after itself. They are still massive favorites, so could take the wind out of our sales.
Leeds at home in just over 10 days time is a big game. They are likely to have that new manager feel when they come.

That's exactly what I thought when we pushed Fellaini up top. It'll be interesting to see what Dyche does for the derby. It could be a really big chance for Simms who I'd imagine is already in the mold of a striker who Dyche prefers. Hopefully he can take his chance if he plays. I do think Dyche will stick with Oana, Gana and Doucoure in midfield.

This will be our last transfer window in the Premier League for a very long time.
What a way to go out.

At this rate, we'll be debating the merits of Mick McCarthy vs Alex Neill in 12 months...

Very happy with that transfer fee. Really hope we use it wisely(we won’t).

Whatever my thoughts on us hiring Dyche he's got absolutely no chance if we don't make some attacking signings that have pace.

well basketball.
I did read the bio's. I am just not overly excited about it. They are just a body of people who pull together funds from about the place and make a few quid.
I would kind of just like to see a big take over where Moshiri sells the lot. Rather than 20% here and there. However, it would at least be good if some 'others' where holding him to account for all the goings on.

It's easy: Billionaires rarely fancy themselves engineers, architects, or construction foremen unless they are. However, it does seem that a large number of billionaires who buy sports teams then fancy themselves as talent scouts, coaches, etc...

It’s a pity he didn’t have to destroy the club, alienate the fans, fuck us financially, send us barrelling towards the Championship and turn us into a laughing stock before taking just one step in the right direction.

Silly question but do managers wages / failed managers payoffs eat into FFP or is that completely separate? The amount we're shelling out on various managers wages when they're only here a year...

I'm more curious about who makes the next manager appointment.
Thewell? Bill? Moshiri? Jim White?

We all know Dyche is probably the leading candidate for the situation we see ourselves in. Just get it done once the decision to remove Frank has been made public.
He is available, has bags of experience punching above he weight in the Premier league. My guess his 'brand' of football at Burnley is needs must in getting as many points on the board as you can type football - as opposed to a preferred style.
I feel we have more than the next 4 month being relegation candidates (if we do survive). Next season will be much the same.
Dyche kind of deserves a chance at another Premiership club, I though his sacking was harsh last season, given the tools he had a Burnley season after season. He might not be top of everybody's list and is not glamorous, but might be the type of manager who can get the best out of what he's got - average Premiership players.

We should stamp this next to 1878 as the club motto. Much more accurate than Nil Satis Nisi Optimum

Things are so bad Moshiri's ready to come clean that he's just a front man 😅

The only reason the board turned up is to fire him. It better by Dyche because we need discipline in the squad. Ideally I'd have Frank as assistant because I think he's genuine in his love for the club.

Ok so Frank is obviously the least of our problems but he's likely to be gone by tomorrow, so who's it gonna be? My money's in Dyche

It's a complete lack of intensity that lost us that match.
Every single one of them needs to be showing more on the pitch. The amount of passes back into our half is an absolute disgrace. The amount of times players receive the ball, put their foot on it and then have a look around to see what they wanna do with the ball. Gray a prime example of this and someone who should be pushing forward a lot more. The amount of lazy backward passes and pure half-hearted from him today, really pissed me off. But that goes for all of the players.
Fuck confidence, fuck coaching, fuck tactics, fuck the board - today's on the players. They can't hide behind Frank, the board, Moshiri, or anything else; every one of them needs a good kick up the arse.

I'm off to eat my body weight in curry, get smashed, maybe drink a pint of bleach.
See you tomorrow. Or not.
