Ross Barkley

Recommended Posts

Have Coleman at right back when we have Hibbo there, man alive what are you lot thinking we cant have a rb who gets forward or can pass its the law isnt it?????

Hope Barkley gets a start today and Drenthe id also give Vellios a go aswell, as said we have quite an attacking line up when everyones fit.

Very harsh on Hibbo. He done more than enough las week to keep his place

Ok, we might want to keep him at RB then, at this rate he might ever score!!! SSSSHHHOOOTTT!

He deserves a goal, think he might have to wait for his testimonial and do a Carragher though. I really hope, if we're winning an get a pen in the last minute of a game, he gets to have a chance. Imagine the celebration. When we had the run of 6/7 wins mostly 1-0s he was playing great, getting forward and whipping crosses in. When his crossing is on form so are the results, jus a pity we see more of the hammer-toe ones or even worse Nevilles floaty ones

Barkley isn't a winger, nowhere near.

Gueye and Drenthe hopefully.

Barkley has done fine on the wing so far. He can take players on, put a cross in and take a shot when he cuts inside. Of course, he'll be even better in the middle because of his great range of passing, but so will Gueye (as a second striker playing off a target man in Gueye's case).

He's done fine, yes, but he's not a wide man and never will be. He's just another who can do a job there, but he provides no width (which is what we need), no pace out wide (something else we need) and he'll constantly leave the full-back exposed because he simply won't be out wide to help out.

He's obviouly being played out there so he can adapt to the speed of the league and makes his mistakes where they (hopefully) won't be punished as badly as they would be if he was playing in the centre of the park. But if Moyes sees Barkley as a wide man long term then I'd be very surprised.
