Pienaar

I know that Pienaar's status has been very controversial, but this is only because of all the rubbish that has been posted by the papers. Yes, there have been a few official articles from Everton, but I still say that if he's going to stay I'm going to happy with this. He is a great player and he does well for the Blues. If we lose him, that's just too bad.

He's got my support.

I'm with you mate, i said from the first day i saw him that he was a good player, likes to give and go, is always on the move and always helps defensively, he just gets better and better the longer he's here.

Would rather lose other players before Pienaar, If he goes he will be a massive loss. :(

To be fair £55k a week is less than the 'going rate' for this class of player - if he was playing at citeh or a london club he'd easily be on 80k per week - is he worth £11m for another 4 seasons? I think so.

If this is true then there's arteta's offer too - then lets concentrate on nailing down a deal for donovan.

Couldnt agree more, it was obvious from the minute he walked through the door that he was a top class player it was just a case of him getting used to the pace of the game.

If he signs it will be a massive boost for the club and it might just give Arteta a nudge in the right direction as well

I hope he does stay but it seems like a case of "no one else was interested so I'll sign for Everton."

i wont care if that is his reason for staying, so long as he gives his all like he has done since he signed. Get him and Arteta tied down and we are done i would say. Lando would be great, but not 100% necessary - i like the idea of playing Bily and Peanuts on the wings and letting them switch. A brilliant striker would be nice but we dont have the money. But get these 2 tied down and we will have a class team for next season....

I love Peanuts but i'm a bit dissapointed in the way his agent or him have conducted things. To be fair to him he has not probably made HUGE money compared to some but im sure 55k a week could be lived with. If him and mikel sign i would be made up and if we get rid of yobo and yak and buy a top striker we are in business.

I'm with you on this, I'd love yak to be class again but pre and post injury I've kind of forgetten how good he was and grown more and more frustrated with him. If the sale of yobo and yak resulted in the signing of say park (the korean striker - not ji-sung) i'd be made up.

not keen on selling our best striker for some unproven player

I've said it before. I won't be disappointed if Yak goes. I won't be dismissive of him if he stays. But if there's going to be a switch, Yak for Bellamy?

Peanuts needs to stay, as does Mikel. The Spaniard being my favourite in the squad, and peanuts with amazing skill.

He was our best striker 2 seasons ago but has been pretty dire since then

Based on his form over the past 2 seasons I would argue that Saha is light years ahead of him and I would even prefer to have Vaughny or Vic ahead of him at times

Personally I would like to see him given the opportunity to get back to his best until January, and that would require him shifting his fat arse every now and again, but if he still looks like a lazy useless git then sell him on then
