pete0
Is the wind blowing against us? These corners all seem to be swinging too far away from goal. Edited February 9, 2014 by pete0
Newty82
This is great to watch. Just need a bit more luck/finesse in their box. Maybe were an inform and fit Lukaku fits in. Matt
pete0
At what point does shielding the ball become obstruction? Not saying that was obstruction, just haven't seen it called by the refs in a while.
Steve_E
Kyle Walker thinks he's Italian? Gesturing like that. Matt
Fearthainn
Good half, really should have something to show for it though. Need Barkley and Deulofeu to come on second half. On this display I'm happy with Naismith up front.
Steve_E
Great defending this first half. From the front, everyone closing down while cutting of passing angles. Well prepared team executing the plan perfectly so far.
Newty82
Solid first half. Impressed with our pressing and pressure play. Really determined to get that ball. Passing and movement 90% spot on too. Big shout for Naismith. The bloke deserves a lot of credit. COYB!
Shukes
Good half from the blues. Naisy and Mirralas looking real good. Ossie showing his usual fast feet. Coleman looking dangerous and McCarthy looking full of energy. Pretty solid all round.
MC11
I think the lads on the bench will come on and nick this later on. Dembele and Eriksen always dangerous though. Happy with the first half performance.
Brett Angel
Naismith proving me wrong in his preferred position.... In my defence, never seen him play there before.... I think what I'm saying is, if he stays away from the ball and makes good runs behind, he's a world beater :-) MC11
Matt
Naisy giving them hell and has won every header I think (again), Ossie and Pienaar rotating well, and apart from Mirallas selfishness he's played very well Lots of closing down, hard work. Can't think of a poor performance yet
pete0
We're winning the midfield battle, wouldn't be surprised to see them switch to 442 and try and counter attack against us.
Cake
Kyle Walker thinks he's Italian? Gesturing like that. Clattenberg will find Van Nistelrooy's head in his bed when he gets home........... Loves the crowd does Kyle, as does Adebayor. They're entertainers, you know! Aidan
Good footballers have perfect technique. Amazing footballers have spot on decision making. This is why Mirallas will never be better than good, he's too selfish and it costs us. Aside from that Naismith looks as if he is an actual striker! It's amazing how Moyes damages players by putting them on the flanks, he isnt as bad as I always make out! Osman needs to push on and keep getting in the right places, he will grab a goal if he carrys on in this way. McCarthy and Coleman are also impressing, and out defending has been brilliant. Spurs dont look out of this, but so far they've been extreamly isolated in our third of the pitch.
marcopaulo
wish we could have signed dembele pete0 and Matt
chicagoblue
Coleman for me looks rusty and has been caught out or nearly so on a number of occasions. Unlucky not to be ahead after 10 minutes, then luck not to be behind after 20. Evened out after that, though I think we're conceding a bit too much possession and sitting a bit too deep. Dangerous to allow Erickson/Dembele to walk across the field 25 yards out as we are.
markjazzbassist
looking good, great pressure and some great chances. we just need to finish and get one in. the bench looks strong and i hope RM isn't afraid to go there sooner than later. Gerry, Barkley, Lacina, or McGeady could all make an impact. Matt
Newty82
Would like to see Barkley, Gerry and that lanky lad at some point...but god knows where on this showing. Probably at this pace, ossie and pienaar will tire first... See how the second half plays out.
Steve_E
Why didn't he just throw that into the space to the left of Barry?
Steve_E
Coleman should have passed that to Mirallas.
