Cornish Steve
F*cking hate spell checker sometimes. That's OK. I used to have a boss with the last name Geisler, and autocorrect would change it to Ghastlier.
markjazzbassist
He's been playing with injections in his toe. If that's not being fully fit I don't know what is. Exactly. On top of that, he's not playing terrible. As paddock mentioned earlier and others have in the Romelu an naisy threads, he's making good runs and creating space, he's taking on both centre backs and leaving room in the middle for naisy to score. He got his first goal of the campaign, he's headed in the right direction. Matt

Cornish Steve
Howard Coleman. Jagielka. Stones. Baines Mcarthey. Gibson Mirallas. Atsu Naismith Lukaku Other than Jagielka versus Alcaraz, we're hoping for the same team.
Guest rusty747
That seems a decent starting XI to me. And what more incentive do we need for a win than knowing we go above the RS if we win.
Hafnia
I want to see Eto start, simple as that. Whether Lukaku plays alongside or on bench I want to see more brilliance.
Matt
Yeah he does but he tires quicker than they do which basically means he isn't at it enough later in the game when chances present themselves more due to fatigue of the defenders and midfielders. Lukaku is an explosive player, he can use pace and strength as an advantage later in the game, better than he can at the start. Eto is a footballer, simple as that. Not since Peter Beardsley have I seen us possess a forward with such an ability to take the ball in any situation and play passes with an assured weight, and that's just from cameos. In the early stages of a game where positional discipline is at its max then that's what makes the difference. This isn't a "haf versus lukuka" debate. He's our player and we need to use him to our advantage. At the moment Eto displays a more all round game that will benefit the likes of mirallas. I really can't wait to see how Barkley develops with Eto. he has tired quicker because he's busted a gut for the team whilst being injured! Cannot argue with the idea of bringing him on off the bench though. Better for us and, more importantly better for him (which is better for us long term) Won't argue the quality point, Etoo is head and shoulders. But he's also 12 years older and experience makes up for a hell of a lot. Edited September 20, 2014 by Matt
MC11
Completely agree with Haf on Eto'o/Lulaku debate. Eto'o can bring the best out of other players. Lukaku is reliant on people getting the best out of him.

BlueBlood81
I'd like changes to keep legs fresh, but not too many. Besic for Barry, Eto'o for Rom & maybe Atsu for McGeady for me.

Matt
Really nervous with this line up. Really paranoid of their ability to counter, we need to put our chances away because I am sure they will score

Matt
Great move, should've laid it off. That's exactly why I wanted Ossie behind he striker. Oh, and that's why I say play to Lukakus strengths too and it was Ossie with the through ball too Edited September 21, 2014 by Matt
